About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Great course to play. Excellent value Pace of play was a little slow but course condition made it worth it.
A should play
Played from the white tees and found it challenging @ age 79. Would definitely play again.
A great layout
Made our second visit to Royal Oakes and can’t wait to return again. A superb layout, excellent electric golf carts, and friendly staff. What more could you need?
fun, fun, fun
I was a single(senior) and they paired me with two other retirees. Very fun layout. We played the senior tees which helped my ego. Very friendly staff; good pace of play; new carts.
Challenging course layout
Got to admit that it is tough playing in the winter here with all the snow-birds. Pace of play can be somewhat slow at times and you have to have patience or it will wreck your game. Course is in amazing shape after the hurricane; greens are excellent, fairways and tee boxes are good, and the rough is well maintained with exception of falling leaves. Course staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and willing to help in any way (course ranger returned a ball for me that I shanked into the woods). Course layout makes for a challenging round with well placed trees next to tee boxes or in fairways and strategically placed sand traps (traps are well maintained). All in all, this is a great place to enjoy the day. And Golf Now makes it a great value round.

Royal Oaks - a course to play
Thus is a delightful layout and not too far from The Villages. We received a very friendly welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf. Can't wait to return!

Good consistent golf course
I have played this course several times as a snowbird during the winter season. It is always in good condition and has been very good rates.

The course is in great condition..
Slooow
Great course, staff I met was great , but we all left after 12 holes, because pace of play was so slow. From what I was told, the "rangers" are told not to enforce the rules for the members (like 10 minutes to look for a lost ball, etc)?
