About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Everything about this course was in great shape.

Nice course and facilities, would definitely play here again. Played a week after Hurricane Irma hit an the course was in great shape!

Nice Place
Although there is not a range, the course offers more then enough when playing. It is a lot of fun to play because of the layout. The staff is very good. A ranger came out on the back nine when the weather was threating and told us where the closest shelter would be if continuing to play. In all my 50 plus years of playing, no ranger has ever made a trip to let me know. That's customer service!
Great Sunday Morning
Whenever I am in Ocala visiting my son, we pick a course I haven't played before and play a round. This was a great choice for this weekend. The weather was perfect and the staff was very helpful. The pace of play was a little slow, but that just gave my son and I some more time to talk.

Will Definitely Play Again
Just moved to the area. I've played various courses in the area and this one will be added to my regular rotation. Very friendly staff. Particularly enjoyed the course layout. Fairways were wide but not like a WalMart parking lot size like some other local courses. Played 18 by myself in 2.5 hours. May have been the time of day (mid afternoon), but pace of play was awesome and there were others on the course. If your a course snob on ideal tee boxes and greens, this course may not be for you. But it's a good course with pretty decent greens and boxes. Fairways are very nice.
Great Value for the money
I gave this course a second chance after last year when it was totally baked out and the greens were terrible. It was in great shape this go round and the greens were great. The surrounds were much better and the general landscaping vastly improved. I had a great round and only paid 20.00.
course is not bad
greens not all that good lot of weeds in them booked it on golf now but when we got to course they had no info on it don't what happened used some points because it was a hot deal got screwed on that had to pay anyway was not happy

Scenic course good layout. Very punitive rough due to heavy rains in the week prior to play. Greens were in good shape, medium fast
Course is in Top notch condition.
Course is in wonderful condition. Fairways and greens are top notch which makes for a pleasant round. Not extremely challenging, but a great platform for a relaxing round of golf, with a few challenges thrown in.
