Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Nice course in friendly surrounding
Nice course for a good price. No top of the market, but more then enough challenching for all handicaps. Very friendly staff,
fivesome
a 5-some was ahead of my 4-some . when I arrived at the 1st tee box , the starter said the 5-some was ahead of us and he said they would split if we were having to wait. Of course my group had to wait and wait. A ranger showed up on number 13. The ranger tried to tell us that because we made the turn at 2 hours that we were not having to wait. What baloney!! I expected better treatment such as splitting the 5-some into 3 and 2 players. The course was in very good condition.
Hidden Quality
While this course is somewhat out of the way (one should have a GPS device) , it is one of the better kept courses and is in an attractive setting. Certainly worth the travel to get there. The two draw backs were, a driving range located a significant distance away from the starting point of the course which, if one does not arrive an hour before the starting time, one will probably have to pass it up. The second was that the grill is closed for lunch early on Sunday causing us to miss the lunchtime.
Nice Course
Pleasant course to play. The greens and fairways were in good shape. We teed off on schedule and played in 4 hours.
Golfing good courses
Great layout , great condition, great price. What else could u ask for?
Needs more manicured around greens, too much crabgrass
Superb Condition
This course is in great shape. Greens are running great, traps are well groomed and the fairways are green and lush. The rough is just a tad long but we didn't loose any balls. Thanks to Golf Now the price was right. The weather was cool, sunny a bit on the breezy side. Couldn't get much better. We're coming back soon.
Course was fabulous for my husband and I.
There was no delay of play at all, and the weather was great for a perfect day of golf.
Royal Oaks Golf Course
Except for the extremely slow 4some in front of us, it was a good golfing experience. The ranger told us the slow group would finish on the 13th hole (not true). I've been playing this game for 60 years & have found that golf course manners are a thing of the past. We waited for 5 minutes on every single shot, until we passed them on the 14th hole. Shame on them!
Play here
Good layout and fairways in great shape. Greens were in good shape, but really, really slow.
Good greens
A very good couse for the money on a hot deal.
This course plays long for the yardage. Most greens play uphill, so better fly your ball to them.
Does not disapoint.
I play here a few times a year. The course is in good condition. Fairways are a little thick and greens are also in good shape. The speed of the greens are slow but are good for average golfer. Overall a worthwhile experience. Great value. So come out and try the course, you will enjoy it.
Enjoyable
Greens were in good shape, bit slower than I am used to but rolled true,
Good Value
Picked up a HOT DEAL and for the money it was a really good value. Played about two weeks after the Hurricane hit and the course was in good shape. You will use all the club's in your bag, even 3 woods off the tees to stay out of the hazards.
