Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Great as usual
I have played this course four times in the last couple of months and it is consistently well maintained. The greens are very nice with a medium challenge. Golf carts are in very good condition. They have a starter at the first tee that keeps the groups in the proper order.
Members only
Had a tee time, but got moved back because some members moved into our time. Never seen this procedure before, I guess they do not understand the concept of what a tee time is. Pace of play was extremely slow and course was overpriced to start with.
Royal Oaks
It's a fun course, with an interesting layout and in good condition. Staff is friendly and you can take the cart to the car to laud and unload.
great value
course in very good shape including tee boxes, fairways & greens. Can play difficult if you have a tendency to slice or hook with tree lined fairways
Partner Jack
Was a walk on and paired with Jack. The eighty four year old was a hoot to play with. A new joke every hole. Was a nice break from the relatively slow play. We did finish within four hours and did beat the sunset. The course receives a lot of play so the fairways, although in good shape, were heavily divoted. The greens were faster than those of neighboring courses and putted true although not as pristine as other courses. A good mix of holes with some wide open and other tree lined.
A pleasant round on a nice course
It's the first time I have played the course. I enjoyed the day and found the course of moderate difficulty.
The two closing holes were interesting.
I will certainly play this course again.
Wonderful layout
The designers made every hole interesting without stooping to unfair bunkers and overly slope greens.
The greens, in fact, were superb. Straight off the tee is rewarded with reachable greens.
I plan to play here often.
value
Great lay out , real good condition greens are great , super value for the money , I am a Golf Course Superintendent from New York . would highly recommend to any level of player !
Greens in good shape , fairways also, Not to many doglegs, mostly straightaways
Royal Oaks is the course to play
We had a friendly fourball at this very impressive layout Royal Oaks. We were made to feel very welcome, and the course was in good condition. All the holes offer different challenges to golfers of all abilities. We hope to return again soon.
Good day of golf
Course condition good. Greens slow but are coming around. In two to three weeks the greens should be a little guicker. Until then enjoy the course.
Royal Oaks Golf club
Great people, great weather and the course was in excellent condition.
Loved it, and price was reasonable.
Great Day at Royal Oaks
Check in at the Pro Shop and we're on our way to the 1st tee. One foursome ahead of us on the tee box and one ahead of them.
This time of year you expect things to get a little busy as the Snowbirds come back to roost for the winter and this day was no exception. That said we finished our round in a little under 4 hours and had a good time.
The fairways and greens were in great shape and the ruff was just enough to cause you to look hard to see the ball in most cases. Typical Florida grass.
Prices with golf now were great and you really should try this course if your in the area, it's well worth the drive from where ever you live.
Slow play
Poor course management, 5 hour rounds suck
Very nice layout
The course was good shape. The pace of play was great We great time.
Great Course
First time playing here, and found it fantastic. Been playing upscale courses in the Ocala area for twice the green fees...This course ranks up there with the best of them...darn right I'll recommend this course...
