Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

nice
Nice condition, staff very friendly, ..only negative is the driving range is 2 miles away., literally you have to drive your car to hit warm up balls.
Freindly Course
Enjoyed the course, staff went out of their way to make your Golf enjoyable !
Hit it Straight off the tee....
This is a older style Florida course that requires accurate driving and precise irons to score...Not overly long but still a fair challenge for all skills...Decent value for the money and well worth checking out....
wait til spring
Course was in very poor condition. Very little grass. Greens were rough.
Teed off 35 min late because they ran out of carts. Only made it through 12 holes. Had enough. Hopefully the course will be in better playing condition in the spring and summer.
nice layout, lots of trees
the tee boxes need attention, not much grass on them. The 1st 9 had leaves all over the fairways which should have been blown off.
Tight Lies
Greens rolled well. Fairways are thin. Will probably wait until spring to play there again.
Good "once in a while" course.
Grass cover on the fairways was sparse. Seemed to be cut a little short for what grass was there. There had been a frost that morning which could have accounted for some of the brownish grass present. Greens were in good shape.
Good course
Tough to get used to that type of fairway grass. The greens for the most part. We were told that the fibs one ahead of us was only playing 9 & then drop to 4 but no so never saw a Marshall.
good course
we played this course twice we liked It so much-played blue tees in the morning and white in the afternoon-the course is in great shape and plays very fair. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pace of play in the afternoon was slow but we played behind people who weer up in years so we were tolerant and understanding of that-overall a very enjoyable day and will definitely return when I can get a good deal on golf now-this course is worth the 25 we paid but not the price they charge regularly of 39
Nice fun coarse
Great lay out and good greens. The coarse is in good shape and is a fun lay out. No water except for the last hole.
Fun Day, Fun Course
Beautiful Florida Fall Day- Course in excellent shape
Greens growing new grass but excellent- rolls true relatively quick. Great views , tree lined fairways, good sand in traps- Plays long in the wind from the blues..
What a great day
Our foursome played on a beautiful day from the white (senior) tees. Play was great. Fairway to greens are not perfect but didn't require "winter rules" as some other courses do.
Reaching the green in regulation was a little difficult for our more senior players due to distance.
Greens were great.
Lunch was great.
A fine day, overall.
Very good condition
It was great to play there. the course was in a good condition en the 19th hole was perfect after a warm round of 18 holes.
Nice course
Nice Florida course. The front holes are all pretty much the same but it gets better on the back! Greens are mostly small and flat! Liked the back better!
Great value. Great course for couples
Play here every time we visit. Very nice course. Friendly staff. Good prices to play
No course etiquette or management
I have played this course about 4 times now and the play is very very slow and frustrating. No course etiquette by the other players at all. No management of the course and they allow five and six players in a group causing very slow play and than the group won't allow to play through. No plans ever to return to that course to play and I am a resident of Oak Run. Also, today I paid for 18 holes and only played nine because of the rudeness of the group in front of me and lack of course management. I am a beginner but was taught the etiquette of golf and fast play which does not prevail on this course.
I love this course. Great character and fit's all handicaps.
This course is always a pleasure to play. Friendly staff, accessible facilities, plenty of water stations and nice on course facilities. No beverage cart is a bit unusual for a course of this caliber. This course is always well manicured!
Good Deal; Good Golf
Found offer on short notice. Have played here for more and course is consistently good. Greens very slow today, most putts did not make it to the hole. Fairways very good. Tee boxes mostly bare but who cares...the ball is teed up! Can recommend playing here and even moreso when the greens fee is a steal!
This course is great for all levels of golfers.
Course was in good shape, pace of play was really good. Just challenging enough to make it interesting but not extremely difficult. Would recommend this course.
