About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Frost Danaged Greens
The course has a nice layout - very enjoyable. On this visit the greens had been destroyed by frost and there wasn't much grass on the greens. Made holding the greens impossible. Hope they get it under control soon.
Nice Course
Course winds through a development......houses not too close.....nice design and layout.....nicer shape than most courses in the area....fast greens....not too many outside tee times.......get one
You Will Have A Lot of Fun Playing Oak Run!
A really fair course with lots of challenge from the Blues. Course design is well above average, Fairways were in good shape, and greens were very good. The experience was well worth the money!
Fun challenging course
Course was in pretty good condition, greens were cut very short and had a few bare spots. The pin placements were questionable on several holes, less than 3 paces off of the fringe. I will play again in the futre.

Enjoyed the course very much and will play it again.
Nice tree line fairways with reasonable landing areas. Greens held well and putted true with reasonable speed. Nice layout, reminds me of more northern courses as very little water and not too many houses built right on the course.

overall a very good course, but the greens and tees were in poor condition given the amount of rain there has been recently
Good condition with fair greens
had trouble judging greens as they were a bit "furry". Could have been an adjustment factor coming down from the north.

this is a very nice course
I have played on this course three or four times and it is well maintained. The fairways are very good and the greens are as good as any around the Ocala area. It is nicely set with mature wooded fairways with challenging par 4's and nice par 3's and 5's.
I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a better than average, nicely maintained course.
