I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Nice day on course
Valet parking was great. Pro shop was crammed but well stocked. Cart girl showed up about the right amount. Couse was in very good shape. Can't get much better than that.
nicest golf in orlando
Nice people. Great course. Great fairways....some of the best!
Places to Play
I would list this as one of Orlando's Best places to play top 5
Grand Cypress East/North
Paired up two others, worked out great as all single digit playes. 7:40 tee time meant some early morning fog that lifted by 3rd hole. Course in nice shape, greens rolling true. Course not very long from Blues but the hitting the small irregular shaped greens and putting well is the challenge here. Beautiful setting.
For residents, this is one of the best deals in Orlando during high season.
Tough Greens
The services were excellent. However, course conditions were not as good as others in the area. Fairways are average conditions. Greens are small, very fast and tough to read. It is not worth the money to play this course (we played E/N).
Interesting layout
I played the East and North course. The water is very present on many of the East course, the North is different with greens that are very shallow and well protected with sand traps.
Beware that you can get bump to another course and time when you book with Golfnow.. I had 2 pm tee time and got bump to 2.50 pm on a different course, but I manage to find a three some.
Excellent value
We booked this course through GolfNow as a hot deal. Wow. We were impressed by the service we recieved and the conditions of the course. We would love to play it again but we are leaving for Canada soon and we will not get a chance to make it there for another round.
Great course
This is a course that we shall look forward to returning to. A very good day out and, on the last day of our holiday it was the perfect finale.
This is a top facility with very well set out holes - especially on the South course - approaches to these greens can be very challenging but are fair from the fairways. We thought the East course was slightly less demanding but the holes are excellent and well set up.
The fairways were the most natural that we played and the greens fast.
There are no Ice boxes on the buggies so we filled their plastic mugs with ice at the comfort stations.
A fun course
Great course to play in Orlando.
Conditions are always good and staff are very friendly.
A Nicklaus design that doesn't disappoint.
Greens are a challenge but the course is a fun test.
Highly recommend.
Not Worth the Price
This course is way overpriced. I got the time on Golfnow with a replay special for $150. I thought this meant maybe the replay was free. Nope! The replay "special" was $69 to go around again. I definitely did not. The course was not even worth the $150. There were some unfair green complexes and the course was in decent shape but not $150 shape. I was the first one out at 7:30 am and the grounds crew was EVERYWHERE. It was a very uncomfortable front nine. I felt like they were annoyed and I was hurrying to get out of their way. Don't waste your money here. Many other great courses in the area that you could play twice for the same price and have more fun!
The kind of place that gives resort courses their poor reputations
Upon arriving well ahead of our tee time, the pro shop attendant greeted us with " you can't check in until an hour before your tee time." Well, that really gives you that "Welcome to Orlando" feeling. When we then asked about practicing, the same person told us that we would have to purchase range balls. What kind of $200 per round golf course charges you for range balls? Finally, we got on the course, only to crawl for 5 hours plus behind two foursomes of Japanese tourists who were oblivious to the pace they were setting. And while we saw the drink cart girl half a dozen times, there was no ranger to be found. Only upon calling the pro shop did someone come out and try to get us moving. Look, this was not a bad place, but there was nothing about it that made you want to come back again.
Must Play If You Love The Game
This is a top notch facility and provides a great experience.
Whether you are a Florida resident or just visiting you need to put this on the schedule.
You will not regret it!
Great course
great course, friendly staff, and great food. highly recommended.
Awesome course
Great times! Course was in excellent shape and weather was perfect, had a great time with friends
Course in excellent shape
What a great round. Friendly staff, immaculate fairways, tee boxes and greens. Pace of play was fantastic with rarely a group in front or behind our group. Overall a great value for the course.
First time
Just arrived from airport t play first game. Great value for very challenging golf course. Greens ran very true and fast. Ace was good as we teed off at 1:30 and made the start of the Super Bowl back at hotel.
Good layout
Played the South and East nines, great layout.
Sadly the greens were poor. We have been in Florida for thee weeks and these are the only poor greens we've played on.
A gem that delights golfers
It is a pristine and beautiful course with many challenges that are easily seen. It is fair but undulating greens and big traps are plentiful. The staff is courteous and helpful.
Give it a try
Played this course first on a long weekend of golf. Got a good deal on the tee time. Range balls were included. Greens were nice and fast yet receptive. We had a good pace of play.
Tried to get a replay but they were booked so we went to Champions Gate CC which was another good choice especially for $39.
Great value
When in Orlando area i always check course availability on Golf Now. I was pleasantly surprised to find Grand Cypress and for less than $50.00. I have played many of the top courses in the area that are available to the public and think Grand Cypress is one of the best.
