I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Great layout - shame about the greens
Played East and North loops. The greens on the East were very poor. On the North the changes to the 7th and 8th do nothing to improve the course. And they haven't updated their GPS to reflect the changes
To be fair we were given a rain check because of the state of the East course - so great customer service.
It's still a fantastic facility and we would not hesitate to return
Wow
This place oozes class from the minute you turn into the gates of the complex. The staff are very helpful. Clubhouse is exceptional and the course is an absolute gem. We were warned by the starter that if you were not on your game this course would chew you up. He did not exaggerate. This however does not take anything away from the beauty of this place and the condition of every hole. These are without doubt the most difficult greens in the Orlando area. The challenge though is great fun. The South course is an absolute delight and the par 5 6th hole is worth the green fee alone. Overall this is the must play of all must play Orlando Courses
Very Very Nice
Only 2nd time at Cypress but definitely will be on my play list for all future trips to Orlando area
Fun Day
The starter informed me they had some problems with the east side greens. He said it might be slow on the North side that I was starting on and asked if wanted to start on the East and be able to play with no one to slow me down. This I did. From tee to green the course was immaculate. And as he said the greens weren't in the best shape, although they rolled ok. When I made the turn to the North side, I quickly found out there was a big difference in the speed of the greens as these were a lot faster. The bunkers felt ok when you were in them, but the sand was compact just below the surface. The course had some very challenging holes, but or the most part, wide fairways and the greens were very large with a lot of options for pin placements. Playing by myself, I played 27 holes in 4 hours, taking multiple shots or putts on some holes. I would periodically get a message to not hit multiple shots. I don't know it this was just a generic message sent to all carts or not. The GPS system on each cart was not the best as trying to get to some features, ie pro tips, would cause it to lock up. The starter said they were going to be replacing them soon. Some of them went to the center and some to the hole, I was told. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked or a better day.
punched greens
wanted to leave as soon as I reached the first green. Nothing on a course is worse than bad greens and while not unplayable the punched greens were a downer. Played course a long time ago and was great. course looks old and worn out now.
A good test
Greens were a little rough and slow on East course. Overall, a very nice place to play.
excent course
enjoyed course great facility good food and beverages. came from mn and temp was 94
Perfect day
Perfect day. Once we passed a threesome, we had the course to ourselves.
Great day.
Outstanding !
Played north/south. Several rebuilt holes are in excellent shape however, beware they are not in GPS yet....sailed 2 shots over pin and green due to incorrect yardage(7&8). Vry challenging but fun and a variety of length and holes.
Worth it
Jack Nicklaus courses are always well designed, beautiful to experience but always be prepared to be challenged. We enjoyed the South and East courses. The small greens on the South course were not in a agood condition as the East. Overall a great way to end a great trip, but be prepared for water on almost every fairway and well places bunkers that challenge your patience.
nice course
South course very fast, east slow and wet. Difficult But enjoyable.
played both new and n/s
Entire complex was amazing...a must play in orlando
nice layout with challenging greens
great, picturesque course, with a little or intermediate and advanced play. If you gamble with long approach shots, you will find the water and/or a severe bunker lie. worth checking out for sure, great resort location.
Jack Nicklaus
Challenging greens. Most of the greens were surrounded by bunkers and water making them extra challenging. Have to bring your "A" game
Greens in great shape.
4 of us played the north and east course, both 9 were in great shape. Sunny, high 81 with a light wind perfect playing conditions. Would play this course again and again. I use my Golf now 4 free rounds.
Best Course in Orlando
Played in a foursome on the NSE course and found the South 9 had the most character with nice doglegs and a few elevated greens that although quite challenging really added some beautiful visuals. I've played most of the golf courses in the Orlando area and found this to be one of the best.
Great Course and Facility
Great Place to Play if you get the deal on golf now.
Food is pricey
Golf Now and Grand Cypress
Golf Now has to make it very clear when it comes to nine hole, or eighteen. The day was ruined because we thought that we had booked eighteen holes. We also tried to add another nine ,but because of the relationship between them and Golf Now they wouldn't hear of it.
What should have been a great day turned out to be a disaster with two very unhappy golfers.
Fun
My group played the south and east course. The south course was much harder. It had tight fairways and the greens had severe slops. Competitively, the east course was more open with larger more flat greens.
Few holes are spectacular
I enjoyed played there, greens are little slow and difficult to read. Fairways are wide. Need good shirt game.
