The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

River Bend is a hidden treasure
River Bend Golf Club has a impressively friendly staff. Some narrow fairways may challenge some but that's what makes for a great game of golf. The clubhouse has excellent selection of Beverages and homemade delicious food. I will make it a point to play there whenever I am in town.
Fun course
Overall the place is in great shape though the blue tee boxes were a bit rough. I played the day before from the whites and they were in much better shape. The staff was very friendly and pace of play was kept at a reasonable pace even though a tournament was going on. Would highly recommend.

Good course spoilt by bad cart paths and dangerous bridge
The course was in excellent condition as it was two years ago when we last played it. It’s a very playable course for golfers of all abilities. The whole experience was spoilt by the state of the cart paths and the bridges. The bridge over the road that bisects the course was in a dangerous condition and needs immediate attention.
River Bend —Worth Playing
We played at RiverBend on May 2nd. The course was in good condition. Greens were above average and growing in nicely. Cart paths are bone jarring. At a good price definitely worth playing.

need ranger
they were behind at tee time. ok that happens but after playing over two hours for front 9 we were not happy so we skipped a hole and just told group we were going threw played back never seeing group in front of them.

Friendly club with interesting course
A nice and interesting course, quite tight in places, with a good variety of holes.
Everybody involved with the club were very welcoming and helpful which made the visit a joy.
Sadly, we were stuck behind 3 4 balls who were extremely slow and, as a result, it took us 4.5 hours to play our round. Thankfully we had been paired up with a really nice guy so we had a good chat on the many occasions we had lengthy waits on the tee.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit and we will be back. Only 2 issues: it is urgent to fix the car path and to progressively move to electric carts.

Course in very good condition
We have played this course before, some 2 years ago. Weren’t disappointed on returning. Fairways and greens in very good condition. One let down we’re the cart paths and bridges which are in a very bad state and need attention. Golf was good and would recommend this course

Great Day at River Bend
I like this course. Fairways are real good, greens good, some are struggling some but won't really effect play. Biggest issue is the cart path & bridges, they are back breakers.

Good track
If you're looking for prestine cart paths, this is not for you. If you're looking for a good course at a great rate, try this course, you won't regret it.

Easy to get lost
Luckily I played with some gentlemen that knew the course layout. Not the courses problem but we had so much fog the first 7 holes that it was almost impossible to know where your ball was or where we were to aim. The people behind hit into us a few times. The course needs to mark the hole directions much better. It was in pretty good shape and a good value for the money. The trees and foliage make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest
