The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

River bend
Greens and fairways were mainly good with a few repaired areas
Pretty course wiith somewhat wide fairways
Bridges and about 50% of cart paths need work
Lact of signage is another issue
Many holes do not have adequate
Signage did not c ranger!
Good layout and fun course It wast packed yeasterday but was not terribly slow

Riverbend
I have played here numerous times in the past 3 years. The course has gone downhill and needs attention.. The greens are not in very good shape . Most tee boxes need attention. The fairways were in good shape. The sand traps have no sand. No rangers to help improve the pace of play.The pace of play was terrible, almost a 6 hr round. The cost is high for this type of play.

Great value, was pleasantly surprised.
My son in law and I played this course while on vacation with our families. I chose the course based on price, distance from our condo and the reviews. The reviews were accurate... the greens are in great shape, the fairways are in great shape, pace of play is slow and the cart paths are bad (I don’t care about the cart paths).
We are not good golfers but we found this course to be somewhat forgiving. Some fairways are a bit narrow, but this was the first round where he didn’t lose a single ball in the water. Maaaaybe because the only water is a small pond on #17? ...and we BOTH MISSED THE POND!
We enjoyed our round and would certainly consider playing here again.
We did have some trouble with navigation tho. We think there needs to be more signage pointing you to the next hole.

Nice
Best greens I’ve played, a little firm but so nice. Nice course layout, friendly staff. Could use better signage, I was lucky to play with some ladies that knew were to go. Fairways, traps and tee boxes were good. Stay off the cart paths or you might break a tie rods on the carts. Great value.

Worth the Drive to Play
Very enjoyable day on River Bend. Very nice course where every hole had a different look. Very natural & rustic surroundings. from tee to greens. The greens were all in very nice condition along with being very consistent. As a bonus everyone we met there from staff to members all seemed very nice & hospitable

OK course
We didn’t know where to play so picked this course from the GN app. Course is challenging and the layout is cool. Greens were in great shape and very very fast. The starter was very confused and sent us out as a twosome which just stacked up the groups which made play very slow. Cart paths are rough as it is a combo of sand and concrete. To be honest, I have many great courses in my area that are less expensive so comparing them to this course is not fair. It plays more like a municipal course to me.

Enjoyed the round
Played the course 21/03/19 and throughly enjoyed my round as I played with 3gentlemen who were just the perfect playing partners. Made some good shots and some not so good but totally fantastic day Love playing here looking forward to another round next week.

Rough
Course could use some big time maintenance and upgrade the cart paths a really rough and the green side bunkers are horrible no sand at all in them

Great Greens
Some of our local courses are having a hard time maintaining quality putting surfaces this time of year so we search and play the best we can find. I would rate Riverbend among the top three in Volusia along with Crane Lakes and Riviera. I like to repair pitch marks in the greens as I play and invite others to do the same. Can some qualified person explain to me how a course that puts tremendous effort and manpower into their club will get such horrible results? Is it our unusually dry warm winter? Strange looking overseed that looks like broccoli? What's up with that?

Great layout
Got there a little early went in the clubhouse was greeted by a friendly gentleman by the name of Ron he told us to go right out. Course was in real good shape the traps could have been worked on a little bit but you're not supposed to be there greens were in great shape. We played as a three on waited on every hole in 4hours all in all great day

Great layout and fun round
Have played this course many times over the years it has a great layout. Course conditions are good for this time of year. Fairways are a little thin but playable. Greens are very good. Be on notice. Cart paths are getting worse than ever. Accident waiting to happen. Management needs to address this issue.

Good course for money
This golf course is one of my favorite because the staff is extremely accommodating and course is kept in good shape for the money
