About
The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Good value
Great day course was I great shape. Greens are med. Speed and tee boxes aregood.
Nice course , terrible cart paths.
Course layout nice, staff very friendly, pace of play excellent and cost very reasonable. The two negatives are the cart paths which made driving on them feel like you would need a chiropractor after the round and the gas carts which I’m not a big fan .
Course conditions good. Overall I’d recommend the course especially if they could do something with the cart paths.

Great little course
Other than the cart paths, the course is in very good shape for the price. It’s a central meeting point for my son coming from UCF, myself coming from Jacksonville, and a buddy coming from Titusville.

Top 3 for me
Every course in town is crowded so a 5 hr round is not surprising. Greens a little bumpy due to recent rain and a lot of play. The locals hitting from the red tees with 200 yards left to the green can go ahead and hit!

Snails pace
The course is in fairly good shape. If you have all day to kill time then you wouldn’t have a problem playing the course. It took over 3hrs to play 9 holes. There is NO ranger to move players along. The course needs to look at NOT booking tee times so close.

Poor Service
Went to starter (around 10:30AM) to ask about pace of play because the course was obviously packed, however he was too busy counting his tips. Finally , he stated he couldn't contact ranger to check on the pace of play, but if you want to play fast, he plays a 7AM. This behavior was very disturbing so my twosome left.

Been better
Poor condition overall. Tee boxes with little grass. Ironically, grass two inches high in the middle of some of the fairway bunkers. No sand in most bunkers, hardpan underneath. Greens were average for this time of year Five hour round. Weather was the only plus for the day. Won’t be going back for awhile

Nice Course
The day was perfect weather and the course was in great condition. If you want a challenge for target golf, this course is it. Golf cart pathways could use a lot of fixing up as a lot of dangerous spots but outside of that this course is a must to play.

Worse cart paths ever
The car paths are uneven with roots, unpaved .. not even stones.. and dangerous in spots.

Pretty Good
Overall an enjoyable day at the course; Pace of play was slow, but it's February and thats usually the way it is anyplace around here. The greens were a little sparse but playable. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Nice layout
