The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Thanks for being open on Thanksgiving
The only downfall was the greens (but they did have they overseeded, so it was expected). I can't thank you and your staff enough for remaining open in the morning to allow folks to play on Thanksgiving. Not everyone has family to be with and the normalcy of play makes it much easier to deal with the holiday if you are alone! Thank you!

great layout, but course conditions notiso great
The fairways were passably playable, but the greens were in sad shape. We live in upstate New York, where the opposite is often true. Probably lost 9-10 strokes on bumpy, sometimes bare greens. Interesting that the women's tees on some short holes gave a major break, but on some of the par fives were ten yards forward of the geezer men's tees.

pleasantly surprised
Wow...gorgeous course, especially for the price. For those complaining about the greens...get real...unless you are a pro , you can accept the average greens...
Not a walking course..I was tired just using the carts..
And if someone finds my Callaway Mack Daddy 60* wedge that I lost on the back nine, please turn it in!!

Great Course but not Great shape
The layout is great the fairways were good but the greens are terrible.

Needs work!
Tee boxes & greens need some serious work. Fairways were decent. I did have the fastest cart I have ever been in! 2 some played in 3 hours.

Bad greens very bad
The overall conditions of the course were good, but the greens were so bad they matched the exterior of the clubhouse run down, sad because again the course was in good condition.
Greens need a lot
Every green was is bad shape. Golf cart had no brake lock or map of course.

Excellent value and challenges.
Not the finest kept course in the city but one of the best values. Staff was incredible as was the overall layout and variety of the course. We’ll be back!
