The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

You gotta love a Public Golf Course!
I appreciate my life and my golf course. When I was a young boy i first snuck on to Bethpage golf course and played after school. Before that, I would hide in the bushes and steal the shots on the green on the the 3rd hole and run home. One time a ranger asked me "Whata you boys doing on the course?"" It was closed because of a hurricane approaching, and we didn't know. Total respect for Riverbend Golf Course. This year I'm gonna have my way with Riverbend golf and u should too! The course has great grass fairways, (minus one hole ),sand traps are hard tack, the greens are tough in this neck of the woods, but improving, and is free and easy because no Canadians and others can make the trip this year. Now, I hear they are going to open up the concessions in a new way.
Bumpy ride but a fair course
Bumpy ride! Staff was friendly and helpful but snack bar was closed. You can buy basic snacks and drinks from the pro shop. Enjoyed the layout. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape. Greens need a little help. Pace of play was quick - not many golfers in the course.

Beautiful Golf Course
I feel bad for the person that didn't enjoy this course, as posted previously. There is an abundance of beauty on and around this course. The greens are improving compared to the other course nearby. The fairways are lush and the challenge is keeping on the fairway and out of the woods Enjoy!

rough riding and quirky course
front nine was all over the place. you need a 4x4 golf cart for the cart paths. wouldn't pay over 20 for this course.

Not bad
Needs some work on the greens. But I liked the lay out. It was a fun course. If you don't mind a "home style" course. You should like it.

Greens
Love the layout and the airplane traffic. Sadly, the greens were two put only. They could be better.

Patchy greens
Greens were terrible and not like the reviews I read. Ni 2 greens rolled the same, grass was patchy and disintegrates when you try to fix your ball mark. Good layout but won't be back anytime soon due to green conditions. Not something that can be fixed quickly.

Always enjoy playing River Bend when I am in the Area
I get to the Daytona Beach area a few times a year and River Bend is one of my go to courses. Love the layout, no houses, just golf and nature. Great staff. Need some work on those cart paths.

Course in very good condition with the exception of some areas with minor flooding due to heavy recent rain. The greens were great.

Great course but greens need a little work

Decent Muni
For the price it’s not bad at all. The course just needs some fixing up. It had rained night before so there were huge puddles, something out of their control and only impacted one fairway really bad. There is a plane flying over you in every hole. There are no car paths and driving in the bridges is like off raiding, WATCH YOUR HOT COFFEE, on these bridges lol. It’s a good course with some scenic views. Just needs some TLC

Ugh
I played here two months ago and it was pretty bad. I thought if I played again today it might be better. It was worse. No one takes care of this facility from the clubhouse to the golf course. The greens have crabgrass and moldy bare spots. Most of the fairways are bald or hardpan. The cart paths are dangerous. My golf cart could barely make it up an incline. I paid an afternoon rate of $30 to play and I thought I got ripped off. Worst golf course in the area.
