River Bend Golf Club

Challenging course cut through dense brush and forest. If you hit it beyond the rough into the woods, prepare to encounter some critters -- lizards, snakes, etc. The greens were in pretty good shape, but a few of them on the front nine had sprigs of crab grass.

Pace of play on the front was fast (1.5 hours), but we caught a slow foursome on the back that wouldn't let us play through.

The course also had some mild elevation changes which made the round more interesting.

I booked this course knowing it had an aeration alert. I played other courses that have these alerts, and this by far was not so good. There was no reading the greens as too much sand taking your ball. That aside it was an interesting course with hillocks and good fairways. So overall it was a fun place to play.

Rough greens just airrated , not worth the price for the round

This is a great course, I will definitely play here again. The greens had just been aerated, but you can tell they pride themselves on a well-maintained course as everything else was absolutely perfect.

Played lat Sunday. Clubhouse entrance overhang falling apart. Crabgrass and fungus on most greens, Bare spots, and hardpan on fairways. Tee boxes chewed up. Cart paths are either cracked or broken up. Fallen tree limbs on the cart path. Bunkers are hard-packed. Not worth the price paid at $33. Owners need to put some money into this course. Friendly staff though.

This course is really nice. Fairways are well taken care of and the layout is really nice. Most of the holes are fairly straight and hardly any water. The only problem we had today was the pace of play. We had a group of 4 in front us that wouldn't let us go past even though we met them on every tee box after the 9th. One guy would hit 3 balls almost every time. We were a group of 2 and had an older gentleman behind us that would be on the tee box right behind us every hole. The guys in front of us was holding up us, the single guy, a group of 3, another single player, and another group of 4. Outside of that I would highly recommend this course.

The course was dry even after torrential rain showers the night before. Staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The greens are in need of desperate repair though. I will return, love the layout of the course.

We were in the area on vacation and found the course on GolfNow, it was a good deal for the area at $33 cart included. They had signs showing dress code enforced, I had left my collared shirt at the house and when I explained they were kind enough to allow me to play in my tshirt. We loved the course layout, it was challenging and fun to play. The greens were in pretty rough shape, allot of bare spots on them. The fairways were in pretty good shape though. It was really cool playing beside the airport getting to see the planes up close come and go, only small planes in and out not big jets. The clubhouse was closed, likely due to the virus concerns. All in all I’d recommend the course, just know it is an older facility and could use some updates and TLC on the grounds. I’d say if it weren’t for COVID, it would likely be in better condition because you can tell it has been in good shape in the recent past.

Another great day...greens are coming back.... still very puttable and playable....the layout of this course is awesome. All holes have character!!...cant wait to play there again!

The course layout was good. The greens and the tee boxes were not in the best shape

Loved the uniqueness of the course, the fairway were very good! Was a bit disappointed in the some of the greens. Was a little concern about the entrance of the clubhouse until we got inside as the place was very professional set up and clean. Staff was very informative and pleasant!. I will be back

Some tee box’s were bear and most of the greens were not in great shape! Could be great course if they fix the conditions!

Fun place to play, but greens and overall shape of course is below average, especially the greens. Cart paths are very rough and in some areas dangerous. Best part of course is it’s challenging w several bunkers and trees lining almost every hole. Recommended B+

Called course thursday and asked how course was after all the rain...they said course drains exceptionally well and there were no restrictions for friday morning!! Course was in beautiful shape ...no standing water or wet spots anywhere!!! No cart restrictions!! An awesome round as always....keep up the great work!!! Cart paths suck, but the city is not helping out....drive carefully!!!
