River Bend Golf Club

Course is well kept and fun. We had a 2:07 booking but it seemed like so did 20 other people! Obviously they don't turn anyone away. Needless to say pace was very slow and foursome behind us were very rude!! Kept hitting the ball near us while we were waiting for the people in front. Took most of the fun away. Won't be back anytime soon.

Pace of play was good as was the staff. The course was in good shape - could have used a lot less leaves.

The greens were very good. The rest of the course was in better than average condition. The layout is very good. Lots of old trees overhanging the fairways created some intimidating tee shots. We were very happy to pay only $40 for a mid-morning start which allowed us to get back to the wife, kids and beach just after lunch. Happy wife, happy life!

This is a nice course, generally in very good condition. It offers five different tees to accommodate all levels of players.

However, like many courses, it needs a ranger. We were playing along in the late afternoon with no one in front of us. But when we made the long ride from the 3rd to 4th hole, which incidentally goes by the clubhouse and 1st tee, we suddenly found a "fivesome" teeing off in front of us on the 4th hole. They obviously decided to start their round on the 4th hole (maybe there was a wait on the 1st tee?). Anyway, very unacceptable! To say nothing of the fact there were five of them (all men) with 3 carts playing together.

Variety of shots in achieving the same goal, is well rewarded. Imagination in shot making is necessary for there is no set shot procedures to make par.

Nice tract and challenging .Just had to wait on every shot from a very slow group in front of us but made the best of it .

Have been playing here for over a decade in the winter months. The condition of the greens and fairway maintenance are terrible. Mgm't needs to reinvest a little more capital in the course conditions if it is going to successfully compete in the area. Other courses have and conditions show it.

This course has well kept fairways and greens. Some f the fairways are quite long and a few par 3's. Pace of play is fast or moderate depending on the time of play. I was in front of a large group a large group. Greens are great. It is a popular course so book early.

we play there, 40 of us, every year, but will never be returning.

As so oftne happens, the wife said get outa here and go play golf...lol I caught River Bend with a hot deal. Knowing full well I would end up paired I headed out. This course is absolutely fantastic. I was paired up with 3 older gentlemen, the oldest was 87 (he is a feisty one) We had shook hands and were off, although I regularly outdrive them they were very competitive and their knowledge of the course served them well. We played in just over 4 hours and I shot a pleasing round - the course was in great shape and the staff was friendly and helpful - all in all I would play here again anytime

Nice course kind of raggedy but this is jot LPGA . Enjoyed the round after hooking up with 2 other guys. I will go back

The front 9 looked like it had been over-seeded recently. Some thin spots on the fairways & greens. The back 9 was lush & green. The course was challenging, but fair. The greens were very fast. Fairways are somewhat narrow & surrounded by lush vegetation. The cart path roamed through the forest like an adventure. It was an eye opening adventure. The golf was great, but have never been on a course like this. I will play again.

My son said the foliage look like Jurassic Park. Nice layout. Starter was very friendly... Course was very busy but pace of play was reasonable. I would play the course again.

Even though the course had just over seeded, it was in great condition! Very secluded course, no homes around it, nothing but nature! Played with a couple from Ontario, Canada, and had a wonderful day of golf. There is a little airport noise, but very enjoyable!

The course is in good shape, greens rolled nice. The tee boxes were a little ragged but they had over seeded them so they'll be coming back soon.m The pace was good, only had to wait on the first few holes then everyone spread out and no more waiting. The cart paths are as rough as ever but with a little care it's not an issue. Staff is always friendly.
