The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Gem of a Course
River Bend has an interesting variety of holes. The greens are some of the best around Flagler & Volusia counties. Staff is friendly and the price is reasonable. Good place to play.
Good Value
Overall a good experience, the Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent as was the service.
We would play the course again.

Surprisingly good course!
This place is just nature, only little houses seen on one or two holes. It is located closed to the municipal airport, but we were not bothered by it at all. Very interesting layout and some tricky holes out there – straight and precise shot help a lot! One does not to care about gravy paths and not good roughs out there, The fairways, bunkers and green are good and the place is very well playable and for a very reasonable price!

this course has everything going for golf
this course has a great track and great outdoor things such as beautiful trees and hills and wooden cart path bridges

Pace of play was very slow
Had four groups playing the same par 5 at one time, marshal observed this and chose to do nothing. It took over 5 hours to complete our round of golf

Great layout, Gets tight on the back, greens rolled moderately fast and true.
Very mature course. Loved the layout. Conditions were excellent for early spring.
Different than most
Course in great condition nestled in wooded area. Paths are rough. Challenging course with nice layout. Friendly staff. Pace was good.

I'd go back
Fairways and greens in good condition. Greens fairly good-average speed. Liked the course overall. The only negative was the cart paths need a lot of attention. Other than that, I'd go back.

Pace of play ruined the experience
The course is in a beautiful location, with lots of nature and no houses. What a pity that the people in charge stacked the golfers so thick that every hole was at least a five minute wait, while everyone just sat at the tee, waiting to hit, so they could hurry up to an even bigger wait at the next hole. I have never been to a course with a worse pace-of-play problem, EVER! Make your money during the season some other way.

First Time at River Bend
Beautiful course in a country setting. Nice well kept fairways. Greens were in good shape. The cart paths need work but that didn't effect our game.
Course was busy so play was slow but that is not the course fault.

Beautiful day, beautiful course!
River Bend is a very interesting course with a variety of golf holes. The greens are in excellent shape with good fairways and bunkers. Staff is always friendly and the golfing experience is very good. Brought friends to play this course for the first time and they want to come back again. One of the better courses in the Daytona/Ormond area.

Most interesting and satisfying layout and greens.
Unfortunately rain prevented us from finishing the whole 18 but the course has great "bones" and is a great track for moderate to good golfers.

good greens
The course needs work, the greens are nice, but the fairways are cut too short for the hard pan that is underneath it, taking a divot can hurt. The cart paths are in terrible condition but following them isn't required. Overall it was a decent course.

Good value
Greens nice love the layout I will return again. We played first thing in the morning and for the price we were surprised how good of shape it was in.

A good place to play
I have played River Bend several times and have had pleasant to wonderful experiences every time. I have been paired up with some really good people...most golfers are good people. The challenges of this course come mostly from the fact that the holes vary widely and challenge every aspect of your game. It is one fun course. Bring your best putting game.

Nice course for beginner or pro
This golf course was Great.... Great Shape, fairways were in great shape Greens were Wide and in great shape... Cart path ran thru some beautiful areas... Staff was super friendly and helpful... Don't miss this one

pleasant surprise
Never played here before. Rates after 2 were awesome.
Nice day so course was absolutely packed. Being just a twosome, we had to wait on every shot but 4 in front of us moved well when it was their turn. Very slow 3some in front of them thankfully only played 9 and everything seemed to move much better. Green were nice size and quite smooth. Fairways had more green grass than any other course we played that week. Mostly vacant of houses and great trips thru the woods and over bridges to next hole. Does need a little litter pick up.

Great old course
This course made me feel like I was golfing in Florida like it was many years ago. The lush trees and tight fairways were just beautiful. The grass on the fairways seemed a little sparse. The greens were quite nice and rolled very true. Tee boxes were not good. I just thought it was a very pretty course and really enjoyed it.

River Bend
Played on a Tuesday afternoon. Course was full, but the starter does a good job getting people off and pace of play was decent considering the crowd.
Course is in very good condition considering the pace of play. Greens were average speed, fairly firm and rolling true. Fairways were firm and allowed for plenty of roll.
Ok for low end course
Not a great course but OK for the money. As are most of these lower end courses it needs more attention.
