Great golf course, poor conditions
This has always been one my favorite courses in the Daytona area. the design is great. But in recent times the conditions of the course have deteriorated. Stopped coming here months ago, but read reviews of better conditions. Well its better but not up to par. The greens were blotchy and very difficult to put on accurately. The very fairways were thin and super tight. Still a ways to go to get back to the way things were.

Greens very fast
I am 69 yrs old and played the white yees....Fairways in very good condition...Greens very fast; mostly in good condition....Look before your approah shot..better to be 30 ft uphill than 15 downhill.
Had a beer, staff friendly.
great course
Have played Riverbend many many times, and always
leave very satisfied.
Nice course
The River Bend Golf Course in Ormond Beach was a nice course for my wife and I.It was nice looking course. The condition was about the same as most of the public course in the area. The greens looked like they had ben plugged recently ly and hadn't come back yet. They were a good speed but very bumpy. We did like it and will play it again.
Good course/ Rough is a challenge
I like this course every few mths although I hadn't played there in almost a year. Greens and fairways are in fair condition...a little disappointing for this time of year. As always the rough can be a challenge, often making balls hit there disappear even tho' they are still in play. Lots of hidden areas where you just can't see the final location of the ball from the tee or fairway. I lost two (or three) balls this way which I'm sure were still in play.
Nice track
This course is unusual for the area, given that it has somewhat varied terrain, with some slight but noticeable elevation changes. Fairways are relatively narrow and greens smallish, so accuracy is needed. Greens were in very good condition, and the turf in general was better than a couple of other area courses I played the same week, as the drainage here was superior.
great course for the price
Because of recent rains there were some dicey areas but the greens were in great shape and ran true and were challenging to read. Front nine is more forgiving than the back but you don't have to be Tiger Woods to enjoy your round.
interesting
Unusual ley out and only one ware hole to shoot over Why the name Riverbend
Nice Old Florida course
I frequent the Volusia County area and always enjoy playing at River Bend. It's an easy to moderate course with a great layout. The tree lined, shady course offers some refuse from the oppressive Florida heat. I have played most of the Volusia County courses and find it more enjoyable than most. Not A+ shape but it's hard to grow grass under trees.
River Bend Review
Great GC! Very nice layout and superb staff. Would have given top ratings but the course was a kittle scruffy , primarily golf paths, in a few areas. Definitely will return in the future.
Nice Course
River Bend is a nice course with some very challenging holes. When we played the greens had recently been aeriated, so it was hard to get a feel for the true break of the greens. They have a nice pro shop and a great restaurant. Definitely worth playing!
Aeration Alert
Because of the aeration alert, I called the course before I booked the round to find out if it was a small hole or large hole aeration. I was told it was small hole - it was not. The large holes made the greens unputtable. All I was looking for was an honest answer.
a very nice day
was paired up with two guys they hit the ball a mile it was a fun time. the course is in good cond. and for the price golf now got it was a great deal.
Nice course
This was a good course to play because of the price only.
Great track!!
All good from tee to green the course was great friendly staff carts clean and powerful all around great time wife said lady friendly red tees fair....
TREES, TREES, TREES....A BLESSING.
EVERY TEE BOX WAS SHADED, AND COOL RIDES IN THE WOODS BETWEEN HOLES, WERE REFRESHING
ON THIS SUNNY 95 DEGREE DAY. MOST HOLES WERE TREE-LINED BOTH SIDES FROM TEE TO GREEN, BUT NOT OVERLY INTIMIDATING. A LITTLE SHABBY AROUND THE EDGES, BUT RARELY EFFECTED PLAY. WILL ADD TO MY B+ LIST.
Good Municipal Course
Pace of play is good. Greens and tees could use some work. Fairways in good condition. Course drains pretty well to handle Florida afternoon storms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cart paths broken in areas and could be difficult to navigate. Great place to play with friends on a budget.
First time there- good place
Enjoyed the round, some of the greens needed a little work but it wasn't bad. Saw maybe 2 houses the whole round so it was visually attractive.
Fairways good, bunkers raked, everything in order. Not a lot of water hazards and you could rip it off the tee as most fairways were pretty wide.
