The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Good Value- River Bend
Have played several courses in the area, including River Bend many times. I have never been disappointed with RBGC. Not a long course, provides tees for all abilities. Contoured fairways and greens. Straight hitters have the edge.
Sweet Course!
Loved it! Played for first time very nice design, course in good shape greens were good, pretty consistent. Beautiful area of the world! Tucked away from real life! Love it! I will play this course whenever I am able!
Excellent course and well maintained
Greens are fast. Fairways narrow. I love to play this course.
COULD USE A BIT OF WORK
Overall the course was in good shape. But the greens were inconsistent with plenty of imperfections. They tended to play more like a heavily used municipal course rather than a semi-private club. Many portions of the cart path are in need of repair and the dirt portions of the paths are rough and subject to the whims of drainage. The effect of this is a rough ride to the next tee and increased maintenance costs on the carts.
As always the staff was most pleasant and welcoming. The lunch menu could use a bit of creativity; it's a bit of a yawner.
target golf
The golf course itself is pretty good. Demands accurate tshots. Greens roll good. Slower than what I am used to. Shot a 90....lost 5 balls off tbox from sprayed drives. Only drawback...no beverage girl. Make sure you bring plenty to drink as you will need in this heat. Booked as a hotdeal....can't beat price
Have fun
The course is not in as good shape as it has been in the past. Some of the greens had bad spots and the tee boxes were somewhat scruffy. However, it is a fun challenging course.

Good Course
Good course. Greens putt very true with little bounce. Fairways are well maintained. I would play there again.
Greens
Greens were being punched and we were not aware of it till we got to the starter. I have played here when the greens were in recovery and were aware of it. The price was a little high for the conditions and it was a hot deal. Not so hot of a deal.
Nice!
Overall, the course was in good condition, but I have seen it in better condition than it is now. The fairways are pretty good but the greens need some improvement.
cart path
The cart path was the worst thing about this course. Its mostly dirt, but very rough and rocky. They should have given us 4wheelers. Greens were shotty on some holes. Staff was great though, nice fairways and 2nd cut.
Jungle Golf
I listened to the concierge and got a tee time at River Bend in Ormond Beach. The staff was friendly and the practice facilities were OK. I did not know what I was in for. I played from the Blues that was 6347 yards long with a course rating of 70.8 and slope of 129. What is not considered is the small gap you have to shoot through to get to the narrow fairways. The trees were mature and very close. The underbrush made looking for a ball impossible. There is very little room for a near misses. The greens were not in good shape for the reputation of the course. The par 3's were very long 175+ with no room for error. The cart paths were mostly dirt and rugged as you made your way through the jungle from hole to hole. This is not a course you want to walk. The best part about the round was my very funny partner named Bob from England.
A gem of a course
This course was recommended to me & I can honestly say I enjoyed it enough to play it 4 times while snowbirding really good shape for this time of year probably my favorite thing about Riverbend is there are no houses or condos on this track go play it if your in the area

Nice course
riverbend was a fun course to play. It wound through the country like a wild safari. The greens were soft and in good shape. They were also well protected with bunkers making it necessary to create a strategy to attack each flag. Will play it again on the next trip.
Incredible conditions, awful pace
Fairways were in ridiculously good condition most definitely the best in the area.
Greens we're quite nice as well.
They're overbooking like crazy though, pace of play was 5.5 hours, at one point there were 16 people backed up on a par 3 was quite dumb.
