Twin Rivers Golf Club
About
At Twin Rivers Golf Club experience a course that combines the natural beauty of Florida with a consistent test of shot-making abilities. Nestled between two rivers this golf club offers eighteen unique and challenging holes surrounded by environmentally protected areas.
The fairways are well defined, and the greens, surrounded by mounds and pairs or trios of large bloomy bunkers, provide ample targets. Most holes encourage the player to favor one side of the fairway or green over the other, steering away from large and obvious hazards such as lakes, trees, or the large, flat bunkers.
All of this adds up to a very nice and playable course that tips out at only 6,636 yards and thus, due particularly to the price, is a first page recommendation for those seeking public golf in Orlando.

An inexpensive sneak peek
The course is playing on provisional greens until this fall, so...there aren't bunkers or waterhazards (okay there is one waterhazard) protecting the provisional greens.. The "greens" are small areas of normal fairway. Making putts is a challenge, but the greens are tiny (so I wouldn't count greens in reg during the round).
I hope to come back and play when they are on their regular greens, having gotten a look at the routing. The course is level, so not a lot of blind shots. A laser rangefinder is very useful given that the greens have been moved quite a bit from their regular positions.
Please advice us that the course is under construction
We had no idea that the corse is under construction and there are no greens. So we played with Fairway made up green.
The fairway was good shape.
I wish GN had some sort of indication as to the condition and construction , we would have chosen other golf club.
Poor conditions
I got a good price to play the course and didn’t mind that it had rain every day for weeks But unfortunately the whole front 9 has temporary greens, the greens on the back 9 were not in great shape but playable.
I like this course because it is longer than normal but today it was cart path only.
I’ve played this course before and can’t wait til it’s in better shape.
Don’t play until late fall.
The place will probably not be ready until late for the play for real. The front nine are all fall screens that are very small located in the middle of the fairway. The back greens are in horrible shape and basically un puttable. They should really let you know on GolfNow before you book this place that is in bad shape because of those issues the fairways were nice but that’s about it. I’m sure once they are finished with the redo. It will be nice again but not worth the money that I paid and I only paid $14. They should shut it down until they are ready for real play. There was no cart girl on a 99° day. The staff in the clubhouse was not all that friendly. The practice area was in shambles as well. Save yourself some money and don’t book this until late fall early next year, as you will be disappointed .
Only 9 Holes
I knew that Twin Rivers was undergoing major renovations, especially on the greens. But the course was showing half-price on GolfNow. Seemed too good to be true. It was. Oh, the price was as advertised, but they don't tell you that you have to play the same nine twice. The problem with that was a two-hour first nine turned into a 3 and a half hour second nine. I still like the layout, bur i will either play nine only or wait until they finish the renovations. By the way the bunkers are in wonderful condition. I liked them so much I couldn't seem to stay away from them.
6/2/24 Review
Well for price we paid as a deal on Tee Off 80.00 for 2, not worth it that day. The overall course was nice, but the greens were in terrible condition. We were informed they were go to start re-doing all the greens the next day. We paid 80.00 to play only to find out their rates dropped to 19.00 & lower during the green repairs the very next day. Would play there again after greens are completed.
Great Course Getting Facelift
This is a great course that’s currently under maintenance. I see a lot of grumbling about not knowing. If you see the rates drop dramatically that’s a good indicator. Maybe give a call and ask what’s up. Last week I noticed another local course at 1/3 its normal rate, so I called; sure enough, they just punched the greens. Don’t blame the course for not being curious about rates dropping. If you don’t like maintenance don’t play now, but definitely give it a play in the fall - one of the most interesting tracks in the area, and lots of wild wildlife to boot!
Under maintenence do not play
I'm giving this course a 4 star overall because it's normally a good course and staff and in my normal rotation/local course. But I'm writing this review to express my frustration and anger with the condition of the course and most importantly the lack of communication regarding it.
I played 2 weeks ago and it was in pretty good condition. But not now. Not only does it appear that they literally just quit maintaining the course, but they closed the front 9 without letting us know when calling. So not only are you playing in awful conditions with painted greens and only 9 holes, the course is packed and backed up....on a Tuesday at 4 pm. Sure it's $20 but that's close to normal twilight rates at good courses in good condition.
I hope the owners and management realize that this is setting them back with loyal clients who may not have the patience to come back when the course is back to normal.
Don’t play this course for a few months
I understand and maintenance has to be done, but I was unaware and they made us play the back nine twice….. the greens were rockhard like putting on a bad billiard table. Just awful ….green fees are greatly reduced but unless you just wanna have a bad time, don’t go there. Normally, this is a very challenging course that is interesting in the variety of holes, but no place for a beginner
Greens really bad but starting Monday redoing them. Reduced green fees to play temporary greens. Rest of course was fine.
Greens are a disaster
There are bad greens, and then there are these greens. Proper etiquette is to rake them after you putt. Very cool layout but the greens have been unplayable for the past 8 months at least.
AVOID!!
Greens are disastrous.. like an old pool table with felt that has dried, hardened, and disintegrated in spots to create patchy bumps and craters that make it nearly unplayable. This course should be closed and undergoing major renovations.. sad to see.
Tough greens
Nice layout for a course. Long enough for big hitters and challenging enough for a solid iron player. Greens need significant work but course is being renovated. Large facility with plenty of room for growth. Course plays well but greens make it almost impossible to not get a bouncing ball on a putt. Will play again.
Good course
Would like to play again when the green are done after June, they shocking and spoilt the game. We wouldn’t have booked if we knew they were so bad. Not worth what we paid to play.
Great layout with poor greens
First - they are closing all greens on June 3rd to renovate them. Additionally a couple of tee boxes will be renovated during that time. I would estimate 3 months of temp greens. Once they are corrected, it is a very well laid out track, with enough long and short holes to challenge every club in your bag. I recommend booking a round there. The snack bar/restaurant strikes me as a bit of a throwback, but the food is good and reasonably priced. Beware - there are snakes in the woods and alligators in some of the ponds. AND, the only restroom is in the clubhouse. No facilities like that on the course.
