Twin Rivers Golf Club
About
At Twin Rivers Golf Club experience a course that combines the natural beauty of Florida with a consistent test of shot-making abilities. Nestled between two rivers this golf club offers eighteen unique and challenging holes surrounded by environmentally protected areas.
The fairways are well defined, and the greens, surrounded by mounds and pairs or trios of large bloomy bunkers, provide ample targets. Most holes encourage the player to favor one side of the fairway or green over the other, steering away from large and obvious hazards such as lakes, trees, or the large, flat bunkers.
All of this adds up to a very nice and playable course that tips out at only 6,636 yards and thus, due particularly to the price, is a first page recommendation for those seeking public golf in Orlando.

Great renovation
I’ve not gotten to play this course since before their summer long renovation project. The state of the course was well worth the months of work they put into updating it. The greens and fairways were all in really good shape. The 2 par 3s on the front were still getting some love on the tee boxes but I was real glad to play the course again.
New and improved
Greens were nice, a little slow. You don't want to shave them too close when they're so young and fresh. Some new tee boxes too. New practice green. New grass to hit off of on the driving range. 6 hours to play. Stuck behind a fraternity outing. That part was brutal. Love the layout. I'll be back.
Greens look great!
Layout is always great! Bunker could use some work. But the rest of the course looks great. Definitely turning the corner..
Resurfacing of greens done
Greens were really good but do to wet conditions the mowing was spotty and rough 6” deep in places hard to find balls 3’ off fairways
Check the weather
The course was nearly underwater. Cart path only, but very few areas were dry. The drainage does not appear to be adequate for the Florida rainy summer weather. Having said that, I really like the layout.
Don't go now they are replacing the greens
Would not be a good time to go unless you just want real cute golf with bad conditions. They're replacing all the greens on some of the tee boxes. Also all the rain we've had didn't make it very well either really soggy out there. In a few months I would say would be a good time to go once the greens are settled the tee boxes and the rain slows down.
Better than last time
Course is the same as previously: a nice layout with some maintenance and drainage issues. Staff is okay, not particularly friendly but not rude. This time the snack bar was well staffed and there was no delay in ordering and receiving food. I will play again next week.
Corse seems to be on the upswing
My family had a great time playing this course again. One thing to note is the very high chance that you will see alligators on some holes so be cautious near the water or marshy tall grass. Definitely a beautiful natural Florida course!
Also, I didn’t see when they’re scheduled to complete their renovations (it looks nearly complete) but as of summer (2024) the course is using fairway greens. So if this doesn’t bother you definitely consider taking advantage of the lower rates.
These renovations are great to see, in that it shows it’s being taken care of, after it was saved from the previous owner. That owner’s plans were investor focused, being interested in the course only for the potential to replace half of it with apartments. Thank you Oviedo for doing the right thing!
Finally
Twins Rivers has finally regressed all their greens. Thank goodness. The entire course is on temp greens but the new greens are growing in nicely. I just hope they give the greens enough time to properly grow in and not be in hurry to allow play on them. The fairways were in great shape. Still fairly wet give all the rain. Looking forward to the new greens. Twins Rivers does need to look into added restrooms on the course for the female golfers.
Drainage issues
Recognizing that hurricane Debby passed about a week ago, the course does not seem to have drained very well. As advertised, the greens are temporary. The service in the clubhouse grill was very poor, in fact non-existent. I sat at the counter for 10 minutes while the only worker behind the grill was cooking, delivering food to others at the counter, and waiting on people getting drinks/snacks at the turn. In this entire time I was not even acknowledged. Eventually I gave up. This is not the same as previous experiences, but clearly the grill needs more workers on the weekend.
