19 & 1 at University Park Country Club

As always, never had a round last more than 4 hours and always play on the weekend. Great staff, course, and conditions. Very welcoming members and I travel an hour to play this course when my normal Saturday group isn’t playing. Always satisfied and impressed. Well done. If I were closer I would consider a membership.

First, it must be mentioned that the staff could not have been nicer. From the folks at the bag drop, and the pro shop and the entire staff. Everyone was fantastic! Unfortunately, we were placed behind a foursome of exceptionally slow players. Had waits of nine minutes on one Teebox and 13 minutes on another. Ranger did his best to move them along but course was crowded enough. There was nowhere to go. Turned what should’ve been a very pleasant Sub 3.5 hour round into 4+. Overall course was in good condition considering the lack of rain and the intense heat. It did show on tee boxes and fairways. All the greens were wonderful.

University has always been one of the best maintained and favorite coutures in the area ! I have played ther well over 100 X. I played there 7/28/23. The conditions were something I have never seen at this course. Even during the summer months of excessive heat, the course has always been green and pristine ! The course is in deplorable condition ! Every fairway was total burned out not just in isolated spots but in entirety even the area that had green grass I was very sparse and lacked density.

As always, course in great shape.....except.....fairways were patchy. Looks like recently verticut, so a little thin & some dirt spots here & there. Gotta do it from time to time to keep them lush, as they typically are here. Im sure they'll be perfect again in a week or 2!!!! Tee boxes & greens flawless, as usual, and sand traps all fluffy & consistent. Played in under 4 hours, and if fairways would have been their usual pristine shape , would have been a 5 star rating, as it typically is. Not the most difficult course, but always enjoy the conditions & the beautiful club. Always friendly staff, even for us non members. A great patio bar area with good drinks at a fair price, considering the surroundings of a 5 star facility. A must play if can get it at a good price.

Greens were slow, ok condition, some bald spots, really nothing to write home about. Average South Florida course. Slow play to the point it was annoying. Not a ton of bathrooms on the course, lots of water/ ice dispensers. Carts were comfortable and had GPS.They had nice practice facilities, we had 20 mins til tee time and on the range, the starter was yelling for us over the loudspeaker that we were cutting it close lol, was like 50, feet away on the range it came across as “pushy” I can read a clock dude. For the money, it wasn’t worth it, plays like a 50$ per round course, nothing special about the layout, muni speed greens.

My favorite course in the area. #5 on university is an awesome signature hole. Staff is super friendly and helpful. 5th time I've played and it's consistent all around.

Great course from tee to green. Great layout. Landscaping was impressive. I’m an experienced low handicaper. Highly recommend.

I hadn’t played this for 10 years, happy to be back!

Lots and lots of vegetation. Big trees, smaller trees, shrubs, bushes, you name it. Plenty of shade for a hot summer day.

Course was engaging with lots of different shots and holes. Plenty of water. There are 27 holes. We played 19-27 and 1-9. 19-27 greens seemed slower than 1-9 but both were fairly slow, but smooth. Rough was playable. Some fairways on 19-27 had been “thatched” (I think that’s the right word) leaving some parallel cuts in the grass on a few holes. Wasn’t a problem, as the fairways were good.

I get to play this at least twice a year and love it. It never fails to impress since the staff is very professional, the maintenance is wonderful and the course plays true. One of my favorites anywhere.

University Park is an excellent course. Every time I play there I have a great experience. From the course layout and the staff, it’s a very enjoyable experience.
