Depressing...
I took my first golf lessons at Wildhorse and it was one of the first courses I ever played approx. 11 years ago here in S. Nevada. It could always be counted on to be in decent shape - never perfect but playable.
Sadly, the course has fallen into complete disrepair - fairways, rough, and especially greens are terrible. I could go into specifics, but it is just too depressing as I have always enjoyed playing this track.
I don't know why the course is in such terrible shape - is it the mgt. company (Elite Golf), the City of Henderson, a combination of both? I hope a solution can be found to restore the course to a proper condition level.
Needs Work!
I really like this course but it was in bad shape.
Play this course about twice a year.
We will be bad for March Madness.
Hopefully the course is in better shape.
Wishing For Better
I want to like this course. Conditions were really below any expectations, some holes lack clear directional information from cart part to fairway direction, really the hard bunkers, some with rocks and the amounts of bird droppings on many many holes and approaches made it just unpleasant at times.
Everyone there was great, well stocked pro shop. Large putting green.
Good value for the money
A standard par 72 course. Fairways were in OK condition, given that it is winter now. Tee markers were a bit confusing - white/gold? Overall an enjoyable course to play.
UK Visitor
Excellent value for money, super friendly staff. $20/$25 taxi from The Strip, rented a set of great clubs (Big Berthas) for $55, managed to book a $55 T Off time, thought was good value- cart included.
High handicap player, good practice for all abilities, great example of a desert course - very relaxed vibe, very welcoming.
Fun Course
Overall, we enjoyed the course. Some of the holes were not marked very well (where to go the next hole) so after finishing a hole, we got lost a couple of times going to the next hole. Really liked number 9, very challenging.
Don’t. Just don’t.
Booked a tee time online, paid at the clubhouse and headed out. Was immediately backed up behind 4 GROUPS at the tee box. Called the clubhouse and they said “yeah, we’re about 5 groups behind today. Real slow. We warned you at the clubhouse.” They did not.
Waited 20 minutes at every tee box.
Will never play here again. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Zero stars if I could. Management should be ashamed of themselves.
Great Layout
Love the layout of these course. Variety of shots, get to use the whole bag.
Very fun
Great money course if ur with ur buddies
Every hole has a chance for birdie or a big number
Great Staff / Rough course conditions
This course used to be a favorite. Understand it is the cold season but the grass is all dead. Greens are decent and fast, Tee Boxes pretty worked over. Fairways were dry and dusty and no water underneath.
Not great
Booked a tee time for 1:20. After I pay the head guy says “we close at 4:40 and if you’re not back at clubhouse by 4:40 you will be fined” sunset is at 4:45. It’s pretty easy to play tell 5:15. All and all only got 15 holes in. Not mad at the rule but don’t sell tee times for 18 if you are going to make weird rules. And at least advertise you dumb rules before people book/pay.
To many golfers on course!
The start times were 45 minutes late. They let too many golfers on the course at a time. The course was like playing on concrete, the greens wouldn't hold and fairways hard as rock.
