Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Tough Greens

Pace of play was very good (4 hours) and on a busy Sunday with a lot of wind. Course was in good condition. The holes are straightforward but the greens are tough.

Staff was great. Took good health measures at the club house and driving range. Beverage service was en pointe.

First. Time at Desert Pines

Except for the greens the course was excellent. Greens had a lot of unfixed ball marks, were very slow and thus hard to read and had a lot of debris from recent winds.

Great

I’m 43 and 7hdcp I read the yelp reviews and it almost detected me from choosing this course but I do anyways thinking of how negative some people can be, This course was extremely fun, risk/reward factor was 9 out of 10 grass was very lush, greens are multiple undulations, not a long course but “watch the 3 putts!!” I just moved to Las Vegas and honestly plan to look into membership here!! Hit em str8 the rough is sand!!! Awesome course!!!

Fun day with the boys.

This course is challenging, you are rewarded or penalized for shots off the tee. The pace of play is as good as it gets in Vegas. The course was in excellent condition and all staff were friendly.
