Painted Desert Golf Club

Our 9:22 tee time didn't happen until after 11. Yes there was a frost delay, but the handling of getting their Tournament group ahead of everyone wasn't done wisely. With the said delay, they still shotgun started the group & then were slow to put the normal groups out. No offers to compensate for the delay were offered and, if a refund was the course of action a Golfer would want to take, that refund could only be done by the course manager, who of course wasn't there.

Course was overbooked, overpriced and very limited parking. We had to park in the strip mall across the street. Our tee time was 11:54 but we didn’t get out until 1:30 and of course could not finish. For $124 per player, it was a terrible deal and experience! Don’t recommend!!!

Went to hit some balls before the round and was disappointed to mats which I think were from 1979. They were so old and worn out the ball kept rolling into the hitting grove 1/2 inch below my feet. No chipping area either though you can hit range balls out of a sand trap into the driving range (their balls and no landing zone so whatever).

Greens were horrible. Un-mowed that day, so definitely shaggy. Was told by a local they'd rather book the rounds on frost delayed days than mow. So, 27 on the stimp meter. The greens were a pretty bizzare patchwork of grasses or fungus I couldn't tell, but no consistency in color but speed was the biggest problem. Felt like a course that used to be kinda cool and now is just 7 years into outright neglect. Cart paths are all worn away in many areas etc. Just generally felt like the current ownership is cutting corners. From a layout perspective the front is mostly straight going and the greens would've been interesting if they weren't so slow. On the back a little water to avoid of the tees and more slow but could be cool greens. Two holes parallel the driving range and there are not nets so be careful. Also paid tourist rates which made this even worse. The only reason I'm giving this a two (instead of a one) is because I had a really fun day with the people in my group. Another single and an nice couple. They made up for what the course couldn't

Bring range finder . They have no yardage markers any where in the fairways. Fair ways are tight and lined with bunkers.

Played here yesterday for the second time in 2 years. The staff are VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. The course could definitely use some sort of yardage markers to assist in playing the proper distance. For off season the course was in decent shape. Lots of rock and sand if you just miss the ruff. Playing from the fairway is at a premium to save your golf clubs. Enjoyed our time on the course and the friendly bar staff made getting drinks between nines enjoyable as well. Great people and a decent course!

Hole # 18 was dangerous people that didn’t know how to play on the practice range were hitting balls over on the fairway. there had to have been at least 50 yellow walls down the middle of the fairway . Golf balls were being hit over there continually . The course starter was amazing!

I got a hot deal on Golf now. Nit sure I would pay more than I did but I would play it again . Greens were good and fairways decent

Course was in great ahape and the staff is fantastic!!

Overall a nice golf course and in pretty good shape for the winter. Pace of play was a touch on the slow side, but that's kind of the norm at many Vegas courses.

I played as a single behind a threesome and played 18 in 3 hours - I loved the layout and the pace of play - Staff was extremely friendly and I thought the course was well maintained and played difficult. I would play it again in a heartbeat.
