About
One of the pioneers in Las Vegas golf, Painted Desert Golf Course is a 1987 Jay Morrish design has golfers shooting at targets in the desert.
Painted Desert has maintained its place in the Sin City golf community through all its changes by putting on an emphasis on course conditioning. Just because your greens are almost two decades old does not mean they cannot be in better shape than many of the new kids on the block.
The desert is the focus here, but Morrish also works in a few lakes as obstacles.
"This golf course is a very friendly layout and you can score here without having a feeling of imminent doom on every hole," John Scappatura said. "We are a bit off of the beaten path, which means that we almost always have availability for tee times. Everyone who does make the trip out here though appreciates our conditioning, the price, and the friendly atmosphere."

Nice but not great
Always enjoy the layout. Challenging but fair. It’s a little bit scruffy. Could use some TLC.
Rough shape
Older course that is a good layout but is in rough shape compared to other courses I played.

Beautiful tee boxes and fast greens .
Cart paths were fine…definitely nothing to complain about like prior comments.

The two worst things on this golf course was the cart paths they have are just a brutal beat up your clubs & your back it was cracked & busted in so many places you might as well just drive over curbs & in the desert! the other thing that was irrataing was the condition of the bunkers now those you could practically bouncce your ball on them & it come bouncing back out it looked like sand but I thought it was concrete even after raking a fresh dug up spot to hit from. Other than that the course was in good condition fairways & greens were lush & green a pleasure to hit from & land on.
No answer when call
My trip got delayed and I called the course to let them know that I will be running late but no one picked up.
I called 5 times still no one picked up so I gave up.
I end up not getting to play at all.
Awesome conditions
The only thing this course is lacking is cart path maintenance. Some of the cracked concrete paths can cause a back injury but other than this the course is in great shape for this HOT time of year !!

Best course conditions in las vegas for a course under $50. EXCEPT FOR THE GOLF CART PATHS NEED MAJOR REPAIRS.
I would go back It was just hot 102 degrees and only 2 water fountains while playin would be nice too have more water on course and no ball washers. But other than that great course very nice would go back
Nice golf course!
First time player in this golf course and I loved it. Will recommend. Good fairway conditions and greens. Only problem that no cart girl/guy passed to offer drinks or snacks during the whole round. Be ready with your own stuff.
Great greens
Wonderful greens. Roll very well and actually soft which is rare here in Vegas.
