About
One of the pioneers in Las Vegas golf, Painted Desert Golf Course is a 1987 Jay Morrish design has golfers shooting at targets in the desert.
Painted Desert has maintained its place in the Sin City golf community through all its changes by putting on an emphasis on course conditioning. Just because your greens are almost two decades old does not mean they cannot be in better shape than many of the new kids on the block.
The desert is the focus here, but Morrish also works in a few lakes as obstacles.
"This golf course is a very friendly layout and you can score here without having a feeling of imminent doom on every hole," John Scappatura said. "We are a bit off of the beaten path, which means that we almost always have availability for tee times. Everyone who does make the trip out here though appreciates our conditioning, the price, and the friendly atmosphere."

Gem in the desert
Great course beautiful scenery and extremely friendly
5 hr 15 min round
Tee time was 10:45 and finished the round at 4:05pm.....no starter and not a Marshall in sight the entire round.....zero exaggeration this was the longest round of golf I have ever played....I believe we were a couple groups behind a group that had a few handicapped golfers. They had special carts that went on the greens and all that was the reason for the hold up. The last thig I want to do is make someone feel like they shouldnt be out enjoying the golf course but it was truly ridiculious and kinda ruined my afternoon. I watched several golfers in groups around us leave before finishing 18.......there should have been a Marshall to do something about it....
Tee times are 5 minutes apart....so obviously slow play

I mistaken this course for cloud 9. Beautiful course. Scenery is great. Really fun and challenging course.
Par 3's
Overall fun place to golf. Bring your iron game. Lots of geese. Lots of geese poop. You have to play around the birds. I believe its hole 9 or 10 but very confusing at times to find the next hole.
A little pricy for the course
This is a typical community course. Decent layout, fair condition. Green is not rolled so it is a little bumpy and on the slower side.. if you can play for less than $60 it would be good value. For listed price of $100+ for out-of-towners, you could find better deals elsewhere.
Course was good; weather: not so much
Very windy day but, the course was in good shape and played well. Driving range needs help too.
Otherwise a great day of golf.
Painted fun
Nice place with very friendly staff. Course runs through homes an d is tight. Course in good shape. No gps in carts and yardage markers were almost impossible to find. Greens were good. A lot desert as part of course so if you were of faraway you were in desert like conditions, rocks and stuff. It is a $75 to $100 course.
Very slow
5.5 hours of play and didn’t finish last three holes

Nice Day
Good day for play being my first time here. A little confusion with the person getting golfers out on time. Ended up 20 minutes behind on our tee time. Play was slow.
