One of the pioneers in Las Vegas golf, Painted Desert Golf Course is a 1987 Jay Morrish design has golfers shooting at targets in the desert.

Painted Desert has maintained its place in the Sin City golf community through all its changes by putting on an emphasis on course conditioning. Just because your greens are almost two decades old does not mean they cannot be in better shape than many of the new kids on the block.

The desert is the focus here, but Morrish also works in a few lakes as obstacles.

"This golf course is a very friendly layout and you can score here without having a feeling of imminent doom on every hole," John Scappatura said. "We are a bit off of the beaten path, which means that we almost always have availability for tee times. Everyone who does make the trip out here though appreciates our conditioning, the price, and the friendly atmosphere."

Worst Course I Ever Played.

Not worth your time and money. Can not believe they offer this on Golf Now. No grass on fairway.

Messy track ! No services !

Only the small greens are in good condition. The fairways were left with lots of grass clippings. Once you are off the fairway, you should mind your clubs. Have problems of finding the golf course with Tomtom !

Jam at the T box

I really enjoyed this course..great layout greens were excellent..just one suggestion..spread out the tee times to maybe 8-10 minutes apart..had to wait an avg. of 10 minutes at EVERY tee box..just under a 5hr round.

Very slow play. Cart person only saw once. No starter. Very disappointed in staff all around, seem disorganized. Course is in good shape. Greens were great!

Excellent value

The course was in great shape for this time of year. The fairways were in good shape. The tee boxes and greens were excellent. The sand was good to. The rough was weak, but that's to be expected right now. The only complaint I would have is the cart paths are in really bad shape. Overall great value for what you pay.

Painted desert

The course is overpriced for the layout and the conditions. It was just in average shape and the greens had been punched and sanded and they did not let me know. I would not play this course again.

Nice golf course

Hdcp. 0: The golf course was in good shape. Speed of greens were good and they were in good shape but they were very firm. Fairways over seeded and gave you decent lies. Good layout, narrow fairways and a good test of golf. Staff were very nice although the pro shop failed to tell us they were starting groups on the 10th tee and there was no starter which the shop staff didn’t seem to know either. All in all I would play again.

Painted Desert

Just a horrible experience. They did not have the correct tee time from Golf now. Luckily I had the confirmation. They did not have enough carts so we had to wait for a cart. The cart we got ran out of charge on the 3rd hole. Tried to call pro shop but went immediately to voicemail and the mail box was full. No Marshals on the course. A guy running a money raising event for the military on # 8 gave us his cart or we would not have gotten a cart after #9. Our rate included a meal but the kitchen was closed. It seemed like the entire staff was frustrated with Management. No starter at the tee box. The round took. 6 hours as the the course was over booked. The biggest issue was not being able to get a hold of anyone. What if there was a medical emergency?

This course is usually well maintained but when I played today it couldn’t have been in worse conditions. Horrible pace of play and tree limbs on the ground all over the place very disappointing

A fair challenge for any golfer. I really like that the fairways have a marker at 150 yards. It helps with my aim.

I will be back!!
