Las Vegas National Golf Course
About
A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

6.5 hour round
Seriously, the pace of play was awful. Longest round of golf I've ever played. Very nice staff though. Also not a drop of water on the course as courtesy, which is rare in vegas in 110 degrees. Wasnt happy about that.
Top notch course
My son and I played this course; from the start to finish we enjoyed this course, when we come back to Vegas, we’ll definitely be happy to play this course again.
We're glad to hear it, thanks for leaving us a review! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
A Local Gem.
Always come here to play during my visit. Great golf course and in outstanding condition. Only small small complaint is the greens were slow today. No big deal though. Great day of golf here. Highly highly recommend this place for all levels.
We appreciate the recommendation, Callaway. We hope to see you again soon!

Still Great
I’ve played National on and off for 4 decades and the challenge is always there! Great course be prepared to be use all your clubs!
Thanks for leaving us a review, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Las Vegas National!
Always a great deal
Course is in great shape. Pace was slow, but staff helped us alternate holes to avoid slow players
Thanks for leaving us a review, we hope to see you again soon!
HOT time in Vegas
I was super happy with the price, the 18 holes, cart, small bucket and really nice staff. The course is in good shape. The greens, though, were aerated recently so not the best. Additionally, they were not the best grass, but in HOT Vegas, I guess thats what you get. The area around it was a little run down. Tiger won here in 1996, but that was when it was top tier club I bet. Good value.
Thanks for leaving us a review, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us. We hope to see you back at Las Vegas National again soon!
Great round!
Great facilities, and course. Very leisurely pace but great place to play. A hidden gem of the desert.
Thanks for leaving us a review, Chris. We're glad you enjoyed your time at LVN, and we hope to see you again soon!
Thanks for the review, we hope to see you again soon!
Great course for value!
I played three straight rounds during the week.. over layout was good, a bit flat but expected. I would definitely play there again when I return to Vegas. Early tee times were available all three days.
We're glad you enjoyed your round with us, thanks for taking time to leave us a review. We look forward to seeing you again next time you're in Vegas!
Great round of golf
We enjoyed our round at Las Vegas National. The course was in excellent condition. Greens rolled true and fairways were well manicured. The staff was very attentive to our needs.
We're glad to hear it, thanks for leaving us a review! We hope you'll book another round with us soon.
Had a great time. The course was in good shape, they have a great practice facility and the staff are great as well.
Thanks for leaving us a review! We hope to see you again soon.
Strong Layout
The course played very nice to the 136 slope. Greens were challenging with lite undulations. Price and service were superb. I’m have an 11 index and was able to pull in an 86 for my first (but not last) Las Vegas National appearance. HIT’EM LONG!!
And an excellent first appearance it was, congrats on the great round! Thanks for the review, Bennett. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Fun course
I enjoyed playing it. The only issue was that the greens were still healing after being aerated. I would love to play it again with the normal greens. Will definitely be back.
Thanks for the review, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
The course is in good shape but the greens are bumpy and short of grass.
Hi Claude, thanks for the review. We're working hard to keep the course in top shape, and we hope you'll book another round with us soon!
Classic Las Vegas
First of all, the course was in good condition even the traps were well “fluffed”. The greens had just been aerated but even that small distraction did not reduce our enjoyment.
The history of this course is rich with stories. They have placed placards at several tee boxes with stories of the previous residents. Great stories and some funny ones.
Thanks for the great review, we hope to see you again soon!
Thanks for the review, Dean!
Avoid the weekend
There are too many partiers and snobs that play here on the weekend. The pace of play was not good. They even let a 5 some play. Great course, however. Rich in history and a nice classic layout with a private course feel. You must shape your shots correctly to play tee to green well here. A challenge!
We're sorry pace of play wasn't up to our usual standards, but we're glad to hear it didn't damper your enjoyment of the round too much. Thanks for leaving us a review, we hope to see you again soon!
Great course
I’ve almost fallen in love with this course and layout. It’s been in great shape the last 2 times. Great for the $$$ only thing is couldn't enjoy a beer while we looked over our cards. Finished round 4:30 but besides that had a great time staff was awesome as usual. Would recommend.
We appreciate the recommendation, we're glad you enjoyed your time at Las Vegas National. We hope to see you again soon!
Thanks for the 5-star review!
