Las Vegas National Golf Course
About
A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

Little disappointed
The course is fairly long from white tees. Course was decent shape for August. Greens slow from aeration and sand laid, But that happens. What was disappointing is the course layout is fairly straight and simple. Water really doesn't come into play much. For a course that PGA has used I thought it would have more interesting holes. The signs about houses around the course were unclear which they talked about. The houses were either nice or junk. It is an OK curse but probably won't be back till I see others in town. It was 105 and this course has no water on the course. They give you 2 water bottle per cart. Well that isn't enough. I never saw a bathroom stop on first 9. One on back nine is all. Also I prefer a course with GPS on the carts. 150 is only marker in fairways. Some painted lines on cart paths. For $34 it was OK but will not pay full price for it.
Poor conditions- not worth the price
When you pay $180/per player for a round of golf, that comes with basic expectations. Friendly staff, healthy course conditions, excellent amenities. The staff is very friendly. The course conditions were inexcusable.
Several greens were patched up with squares of grass or had large dirt spots and bumps. Some bunkers were fluffy, others were packed hard. Palm trees overgrown and neglected. There was trash, old and broken shopping carts and bike parts scattered around the course. I understand greens are hard to maintain, but the trash that had been sitting there for YEARS is just plain lazy and inexcusable. $180 should get you a premium golf experience on a clean, well maintained golf course. This was not worth the price, not even close.
Horrible
Picture of course on line dont justify the price rather pay extra for Bali Hai better everything
only played 4 holes in 90 min left never finished every hole was backed up with 4-8 people waiting
I'm upset at Golf Now. U charged me MORE than the t time cost me! I couldn't cancel, now I'm out $233!
GN sucks and I'm very disappointed, cost me twice as much than if I called myself - what a scam!
Overpriced and underserved
My husband and I went to this course with a group of friends. We booked ahead of time to try to get a secured tee time. When we showed up their fee was $109 each (they are also not locals) and we paid $159 per person. The gentleman checking us in did not seem to care when we told him this and instead told us it was our fault basically we booked on golf now. Even though it wasn’t paid in full yet we still got charged $300 for two of us:
To top it off the greens were in the worst condition. They were worse than any I have ever seen. There is some side of mold or algae growing on them. There were homeless camps set up all over near the edges of the fairways/just out of bounds. In one spot there were old trash piles and grocery carts we drove right by on the cart path.
We got a cart girl to come by once. The “snack” bar closed at 3:30, before daylight was gone by hours
Overall I would say this course truly needs some work to try to charge the fee of $150 per player in an off season. Worst course to date for sure, and we travel and play golf very routinely.
Stay away!
Greens are in terrible condition! I asked for a discount and was told no. They said I was already playing at a discounted twilight rate of $64. In the condition the course is in I wouldn’t pay more than $50.
Come on Las Vegas National! Do better!!!
Waste of time and money
Here’s a clean, honest review you can post. I kept it sharp but fair—frustrated without sounding unhinged:

⭐☆☆☆☆
I’m visiting Las Vegas from out of town and this was easily the worst-conditioned golf course I’ve played in years. For the premium price charged to non-residents, the condition of the course was completely unacceptable, patchy fairways, poor greens, and overall very little care evident.
The pace of play was just as bad. Rounds moved at a crawl, to the point where we couldn’t even finish. No effort seemed to be made to manage tee times or keep things moving.
Between the condition, the pace, and the inflated non-resident pricing, this was a total waste of both time and money. There are far better options in and around Las Vegas, unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.
Won’t be back
Hadn’t played this course in a couple years and probably won’t ever play it again.
We teed off 20 mins late due to the log jam on the opening hole. No starter in sight with every group asking each other who was up next. First 3 holes took us an hour to play. We were literally clubbing down off the tee just to keep our round moving and were still getting hit into from the group behind us. No marshal anywhere to help with the pace. Next 3 holes took us another hour. Somehow we managed to finish the front in under 3 hours, but not by much.
Greens were atrocious. We were putting on broccoli florets and across wastelands each hole. Bunkers were rarely raked. Tee boxes weren’t even level half the time.
We quit at 9 for all of the reasons listed above and were ignored by the staff in the cart barn as we grabbed our clubs and left.
Disappointing experience overall, but at least there are plenty of other options around town.
Total joke for what you pay.
Not sure what’s worse? A 6 hour pace of play or homeless trash all over the course. Or maybe the worst part is the price for both of the previous mentioned situations. The course is in need of a complete overhaul. Greens have patches of mud. Fairways are OK. Bunkers are full of rocks. Also had to start the round 40 minutes late due to pace of play. Would no recommend….
Feels like a rip off.
I’d hate to be the Karen but man I got ripped off. I paid $190 for greens that looked like craters of the moon. Mud was definitely showing through. Trash was everywhere. I’ve played courses like this and the fee was $25. To get tricked into paying $190 I’m sorry this is fraud.
Course conditions and pace of play.
At four stars this course is extremely overrated. For the most part, there was very little grass in the fairways and no sand in the sand traps. The greens were chewed up and the cups were starting to grow over. The pace of play was ridiculously slow. This is, at best, a $50 course. We paid $139. Not satisfied at all.
Nice course.
Fast pace of play. Nice course.
Super fun and kudos to their HOA
On a good day, I’m a boogie golfer. This course was friendly to me and my skills. The weather was hot, but the course was well maintained. Staff from the period driving range was included with the cart fee and round fee. The most interesting thing of all is the HOA has organized that at each Hole neighbors give out free food and drink, including adult beverages. This was super surprising and super fun. One very lovely neighbor invited us to their home for the after party. I highly recommend this course. Will certainly be back. It’s only 3 1/2 miles from the trip which allows for nice views and Las Vegas golf had a rate that’s much more user-friendly than perhaps at the casinos. Will certainly be back and we appreciated the feminist of the neighbors and the staff and everyone encountered at Las Vegas national golf club.
Great value for money
Played this course and really liked it, the greens were in good condition, the staff especially at the Pro Shop was incredibly helpful and kind.
It was an improvised round for me, rented clubs which were in good condition and staff was very friendly.
Great track!
Love Las Vegas National. Close to strip. Good value. Love the layout.
Great golf
Really enjoyable even though a little hot.
A lot of sand makes it a challenge
Beautiful Traditional Golf Course
Beautifully maintained golf course with lots of shade trees. Friendly staff. Range balls, and bottled water included in price.
Proud of it
Nice track, looks like a trailer park in spots. They are proud of it for the price. Can't even get a local price on this site.
