Good value, very playable.
This is a nice place that is well worth the $60 I paid. Conditions on the greens were above average but the dormant brown grass off the fairway was disappointing.
Seems like the front 9 was more difficult than the back which had several 300ish par 4s. They have filled in several bunkers but the ones that remain have nice sand and were well maintained.
They have numerous stands of prickly pear cactus that are several feet high and wide and well cared for. These guys know how to grow desert flora.

First time play
Heard a lot about HFGC and I was not disappointed..excellent condition in fairways and greens..beautiful scenic views..I will definitely play here again I live in Henderson and worth the drive!!

Diabolical pin placements on rock hard greens
Course could be more fair, but when you have elevated greens that don’t hold even high shots and you put the pins on front edge and maybe just behind bunkers or in other impossibly sadistic spots, then you have succeeded in ruining the experience. Congrats on that apparent effort. But on the good side, you rarely have to repair your ball mark because they are so hard.

Course was good conditions for time of year were very good. Did have an issues as they sent out a 5 some in front of us. They did let us through on hole 4

Great course
Got setup with 3 others. They were very friendly and fun. Really liked this course a lot. Will definitely play it again as soon as I can. Lots of room to use your driver. Fantastic course. Great view off 14 tee box.

The course is challenging.
The main discrepancy I found was no restrooms on the course! Us old guys need to go more often than some. Had to find a bush more than once.
One restroom on the front nine and 1 on the back nine would enhance the course tremendously!

Sun City Course
This course reminds me of other Sun City courses, also designed by Casper/Nash. Highland Falls feels somewhat like an exec course due to it's compact feel -- tightly wound through a housing development, fairways are typically narrow (40 yds or less) with about 20 yds of rough on each side, some small greens. The par 3's are excellent, with one offering views of the valley from it's elevated tee box. The course has plenty of bunkers, some water, elevation changes, rolling terrain, mountain and valley views. The slowest greens I've played -- like shag carpeting. Good course for locals. This wouldn't be a must play course for golfers coming into town for a golf trip.

Nice course, very forgiving
The staff was all very friendly and helpful and the course is in great shape. Pace of play was good and the course layout is good.
The fairways tend to be "sunken" so errant shots will tend to leak back down to the fairway, so good for high handicappers.
My only complaint is that the greens were mowed pretty high, resulting in rather velcro-like greens that were pretty slow.

Wide Fairways
We’re always a little nervous when playing a course woven thru housing. The fairways are nice and wide and the housing caused us no concern. Greens were slow but they are still recovering from over seeding. Fairways were good and bunkers have actual soft sand in them. Should mention lots of bunkers, both around greens and along the fairways. We will go back and play again.
