Palmer at Oasis Golf Club

Just challenging enoigjt to make you work, but not so bad that you cannot be successful. I would play it again anytime.

Up to great views, down to valley floor. Lots of wildlife. Fun course.

This course was EXCELLENT! GREAT layout and fair distance. Loved the intimidation factor of #7!

There are two courses here, the Cantons and the Palmer. The Palmer should be labeled the Canyons, it is tucked i to canyons much more that the other. There are quite a few tricky holes, and the greens were very hard to read and quite severe in some cases. Don't expect great scores the first time you play it, but it was very enjoyable, and I will definitely play it again!

I was delighted with my round on the Palmer course. Weather was perfect and for the time of year the course conditions were excellent. The blind shots on a couple of the opening holes were challenging as were some of the shots from the mountain into a seemingly narrow valley, but the course plays fair. I look forward to playing the course again with the knowledge I gained today.

This was the first round I have ever played at the Oasis Palmer course which I ran across through a golf app that I hadn’t seen before; as a single, I decided to try something new; I was impressed and look forward to future rounds when in the area; the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the pace of play was quite good; the course was in great shape despite the triple digit heat which was really the only negative but probably the reason the course was not more busy; I did not access all of the amenities that were available, but all were available; I expect to play the course again in the future.

Upon arriving I was immediately met with a cart in the parking lot. This is a really neat course. Layed out very well with blind shots on a couple of holes. The views are fantastic, so I found myself just looking out to the expansive desert and admiring the beauty. Most holes I found challenging, but fair. Most of the rough is very thick, so hit them straight. Lot of elevation change from the tee boxes.

The Oasis Palmer course tweaked my interest when it came up in my GolfNow app that prompted me to reserve a tee time; it was my first round at this course, so I didn’t know what to expect, but as I arrived, an attendant met me as I got out of my vehicle with a cart; he shared their check-in process and path to the clubhouse; after checking in, I asked that attendant and another attendant about things to know before I started; their information was very helpful; the round was somewhat slow as I caught several different groups in my solo round; the first group let me play through after I waited behind them in three holes, but on the back nine I caught another single on #14; he played through a foursome (family) that was playing a scramble and didn’t allow me to play through as I got held up on #16 and waited the remainder of the holes; the course layout was fantastic, and I look forward to another opportunity to play there soon.

Summer golf in the desert is usually fairly inexpensive because of the heat... and in Mesquite the population is mostly retired folks... who generally don’t want to risk heat stroke, so our 930 am tee time found us with the course to ourselves this Friday morning... we finished in 3 hours... course layout is fun, and have played in the winter months and usually a 4 star conditioned course. Our rate was $45 today... but the greens were aerated recently... very rough, and many greens were under some form of repair... but bottom line is they were too bumpy to putt... and not worth the discounted price they charged... if you Don’t care about putting... then disregard my review.... staff were all very friendly though and love the lunch in their grill!

Greens were outrageously slow, everything else was great.
