The Barony Course at Port Royal Golf Club constitutes 18 of this well-known island facility's 54 holes.
Playing to just 6,543 yards from the gold tees, Barony is a very enjoyable course for all skill levels. The back nine in particular is a fine mix of long and short holes. Like its sister courses at Port Royal, Barony begins and ends at the club's beautiful Antebellum-style clubhouse.
From the tee, many of the holes on Barony appear to be relatively open. But as you approach the green the real challenge of the course becomes clear. The greens are small and protected by deep bunkers and Bermuda rough, demanding an excellent touch with the medium and short irons. This is a course where accuracy, not length is the key factor.

Fun outing & good course
Enjoyable round on an interesting track in good condition. I'd recommend it.
First timer here
After being rained out the day before, I was encouraged by my wife to book a round there and throughly enjoyed the course. Challenging course that demands good drives if you want to score good. Greens were in good overall condition. I will return!

Played this course and Robbers Row. Highly recommend this course. Great condition. Very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back again.

The course is well laid out. Holes are moderately difficult. Course conditions were dry and windy. The course fairways and tees need water(note we are in a drought period). Staff was top notch from pro shop,starters and rangers.
Port royal Barony
Very nice setting. Practice range, putting, chipping and pitching. Pro shop took quite awhile to find my res. Then asked me to write out my credit card info for renting clubs. That puts the renter at risk of having info stolen. Pro shop gave me a slip for the starter and had someone else’s name on it. The cart had the wrong course card on it. Fairways were spotty. Greens good. Some very nice holes bot others were overly wide. Lots of bunkers and water. No Marshall’s to check pace of our very slow play.
Slowest play I’ve ever seen at a place like this
Course conditions were about the same as anything else you will play in the area. The staff wasn’t friendly and the pace of play was 5.5 hours with no ranger we played the last 4 holes as a 5 some and still caught the group in front every hole. In my opinion take your money elsewhere.
