Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

This was my first time visiting the course. Staff was very friendly and helpful however prices in the pro shop are outrageous. Course is a fun challenge with branches overhanging fairways at sometimes can be frustrating it requires shot shaping. Green were below average they had been punched 10 days ago but nevertheless not good. The alligator community is very active on the course so keep your head on a swivel. Overall experience was good will be coming back.

Wide fairways and nice scenery. Surprized that for the price carts lacked GPS. Course in excellent conditiion. Glad we had nice breeze to make the afternoon bearable.

Nice course. Wish we could have seen Jack Nicklas. Only problem was heat but they have a lot of water on the course and a great ice machine on the porch.Only problem was one hole was closed but it also gave me my only par for the day.

Super friendly staff all around. Great experience. Will definitely play again when I‘m in HH. My only regret is not buying a shirt…

We arrived almost an hour early due to wrong directions and were allowed to immediately tee off.

First, there are 5 tees and just enough water and sand to keep your attention away from the beautiful layout - pine forests framing the fairways with a tranquil, park-like atmosphere.

The fairways were in late seasonal shape showing a few bare patches while the greens were still bumpy from a previous aeration. Bunkers were fluffy as was the first-cut rough where we almost lost a couple of balls when they sank below the grass.

All-in-all, a great experience that will bring us back another time.

greens were freshly aerated and dressed. hole 4 was closed because of a bridge. temporary tee box was poor. Range balls were not included. no beverage cart. no grill. Beautiful course. disappointed in above.

Second year in a row. Love this course. Rewards good shots and punishes bad shots. Course was in great shape. Everyone incredibly friendly. We went off season and felt like we had whole course to ourselves. Layout fun. Scenery gorgeous. Best value on Hilton Head Island.

Course is in decent shape still some rough patches from the storm. Greens recently punched and in rough shape should be better by end of next week. Bridge to #4 was under repair had to skip it and come back after 15 to a make shift hole. Stuck behind a foursome that was excruciating slow and wouldn’t allow us through a twosome backed up at least 3 groups. Staff was friendly but a ranger would have been helpful. We used a hot deal and skipped #4 after 15 to get a head of the group wouldn’t recommend until repairs are done and greens comeback.

Course was fine. Tee boxes, fairways & greens were in great shape. I’ll be back!

Always like to start a golf trip with Golden Bear, very playable and moderate challenge.

The greens could have been a little nicer, some of the cups were not cut well and pins leaning.

Loved the course and had a great time. Only complaint is we played at 330 pm and when we came around the turn everything was closed. They did have cold water on the course which was awesome and ice at the turn. Just wish they would have said they would be closed so we would have got extra drinks. Small complaint but still at 95 degrees could of use led a bathroom and snacks and drinks

Very friendly course layout with wide fairways, generous sized greens but thick tough challenging one to keep the ball in play. Very nice clubhouse with usual amenities, fine pro-shop, friendly staff. Wish carts had GPS and ice-filled coolers. Definitely worth a visit.

My 12 year old son and I played the back 9 at Golden Bear and had a great time. Challenging but also beautiful. Every fairway was a postcard!
