Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

A complete let down! We expected so much more from a course with Jack’s name on it. The course is on level with the $45 courses we play here in central Florida. So glad we didn’t pay and play in the morning.

The course was in great shape from tee to green. There are two areas that need a lot of attention, the very slow play, especially on the back nine and we teed off at 1400 and never saw a cart girl the entire 5 plus hour round.

Beautiful setting, reasonable pace.pertty well kept for a public course.

Course was OK. Layout was good, staff was friendly, but the price was too steep given the condition of the course. Rental clubs were also very expensive. If you’re looking for a great experience in this area at a good price go to Old South.

We love this course. We play it every year. Very disappointed in the pace of play. No ranger moving groups along. Unreal that a clubhouse closes at 5pm on a Saturday. Unacceptable.

Highly recommend this golf course. This is the second year in a row my friends and I played this course. It is a must play venue. Great conditions. Challenging hole and be careful of the blind spots.

A beautiful golf course!! Very excited to play. Great value for 18 holes w/ cart. We are New Englanders so this was our 1st golf outing since last fall. Naturally rusty but so happy to play here. All was good until staff came out multiple times to tell us to pick up our pace of play. After our 2nd talking to, we became flustered and frustrated which made the back 9 less enjoyable (btw, we did catch up to the group ahead of us and waited on multiple holes for them to finish up). Again, a beautiful course on a beautiful day but sadly left a sour taste in our mouths.

We are never disappointed when we play Golsen Bear!

Really liked the layout, course was in good condition. Greens were consistent, fairways in nice shape, several water holes which I like at a beach course. Affordable twilight rate (for HHI, still pricy compared to back home courses) after 2pm and was able to finish in 4 1/2 hours… book early to get the 2:00 time. Staff was friendly. Driving range was good.

Typical of HHI this is a flat, narrow, shortish course with some water but very fair even for a high handicapper.

It was a very busy week in Hilton Head - RBC Tournament in progress so expected many golfers and there were. All in took a 5+ hours to complete the round, and it was slow. None the less, would definitely come back for another round. Thanks for a great day of golf.

Staff was cold and unwelcoming. Pace of play was 5+ hrs. Don’t waste your time or money playing this course.
