About
Located in Florida’s oldest city, Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club offers a glimpse of the area’s lush foliage and native marshlands. The course has a visually interesting layout with elevated, sprawling greens and a variety of bunker shapes and sizes. The moguled fairways and sandy waste areas are two other distinguishing features of the course. It is a tight course with large greens and gentle undulations. The layout provides a “target-golf” experience that puts a premium on accuracy and distance control. The numerous bends in the course in combination with the blustery winds also makes proper club selection very important.

Course Review 10/13/2022
Course was in bad shape. Goose grass growing in greens made for no true roll. Tees were in bad shape not having much grass, showed lack of care. Sand traps have not been maintained showing lack of care.
Not a course I would recommend to anyone.
Course is rough
This could be an amazing course but it has to be one of the worst I have ever played in the US!.
There are to many issues to list . Hopefully they will get someone in there that can help them get it right because it could be one of the better ones. We won’t be back until we see better reviews.
All the customer service staff were amazing so that was one plus!!!!!!!!
The course is in poor shape. Very soggy from the recent rains There are a number of areas that have not been well maintained regardless of the rains. Greens were in fair condition and very slow. Tee boxes need quite a bit of work. Fairways were soggy.

We had a blast. Good price for the course. Staff was friendly and the course was in great shape.

course layout is challeging. greens and faiways in rough shape. played this course 6 yrs ago and it was in fantastic shape. was very disappointed this time around. luckaly the price wasn't bad

The course didn't list the first hole replacement, all others were in good condition.
Wouldn’t play unless it’s a Hot Deal
Greens and tee boxes in bad shape. Fairways were decent. Had a ten cart group in front of us that made pace of play very slow. On a good note, alcoholic beverages were priced nicely.
Don’t do it.
The greens are in bad condition They allowed a 10 some off in front of us. Held up and backed up the front 9. Lots of riding between holes. Not worth the $ for the condition of the course imo. The temporary green on the first hole was really small. Does not appear that they are trying to fix the original green either.
Ok for hot deal
A few greens need work.. Course layout disjointed Lots of driving thru neighborhood on streets between holes and couple holes not marked very well. The actual course was pretty though.
Ehhhhhhh. Don’t pay 40$ to play here.
I’ve played here several times over the years and each time it gets worse. I would not be happy if I were a paying member I played here on a hot deal at 28$. Fairways are ok but most of the greens are bad with weeds, bald spots etc. Pace of play is good because nobody wants to play there probably.I feel like they’ve given up. This looks like the other courses that eventually closed down in the area. In the past. So if you want to play it before it shuts down then do so. But don’t pay full price.
