Royal St. Augustine Golf and Country Club

The course requires accuracy from back tees. Greens were solid. Fairway grass struggling to come in. Pace of play outstanding.

I had a wonderful experience here at Royal SA today. The staff was friendly and helpful. They exchanged my cart which was losing power and replace it immediately. I enjoyed the day and played at a quick pace. Overall I had a pleasant experience. Thx.

The course overall was good, a lot of trouble if you were not right down the middle, which i was not. Greens were fast . Staff was friendly but at 12 Noon there were multiple groups that were delayed because they were out of carts. We were having to wait quite a while for people to finish 18 so we could get a cart.

The whole course has a challenging layout.

The greens are looking good and are faster than expected. Part of teeboxes and fairways could be in better condition.

What a gem from pulling into the parking lot and greeted by wonderful staff golf course layout is fabulous great character tough first four holes nice challenge grass was a little dormant but the course was still in phenomenal shape greens were fast loved it great time can’t wait to come back thanks again for everything

Tight layout but not exceptionally long. Lots of water bring extra balls

Not good for average golfer. Very thin fairways. Bunkers poorly kept. Greens do not hold. Bring plenty of balls. As course has matured, it has gotten very tight and difficult. Good luck.

The staff was incredibly nice. Everyone was very willing to make sure you had a good time. The greens were good, and the fairways were good too. The tee boxes were a little rough but that’s to be expected at this time of year. Relatively narrow fairways so accuracy is important

All good. Easy going staff. Course in good shape and there was someone checking on Pace. We didn't need it though. Restaurant good and reasonable. Very fair layout

If this is your first time playing, as it was mine, leave the driver in the bag, play to the yellow and black striped 150 yd pole, and bring extra balls. The fairways are narrow, and this course will challenge just about every shot you think you have. Good luck.

Greens are in good condition but the fairways are dry and without grass, which I suppose is normal for this time of year.

The course is a very decent layout and in decent condition. The value is excellent. We enjoyed our day at the course.

If you can hit it absolutely straight as an arrow and your playing partners cannot, go here and TAKE ALL OF THEIR MONIES!!! Greens are good, course is good, people are great, but, it’s the hardest course I’ve ever played anywhere. SOOOOO TIGHT! Lol

We golf here often when we are in St. Augustine. Challenging course with water and lots of sand traps. Great way to improve your shot skills.

This is a good course, well-maintained. Greens were very nice, and fairly quick for this time of year. Fairways are tight, and there is a lot of water in play. I would describe it as a shot maker’s course. The only concern about this course is how it winds through multiple housing areas. Almost like the designers wanted to find out how many houses could have course frontage. Traveling from the green to the next tee on several occasions was almost absurd. Hole 5 may as well be in the next county - by itself. Make sure you speak with someone about the layout before you tee off. Even finding the first tee was no picnic.
