This course has gone downhill... Fast...

I used to play here every day during high school - we would have practices and tournaments here throughout the summer and fall, and at the time, it was great (mostly because it was free for us). Now, the course has quickly dropped off and needs some sort of renovation if it wants to regain its spot on my list of frequented courses. The tee boxes are littered with weeds and dead/sandy spots. The fairways are okay, but considering that they just had them redone just a few years ago, they are in terrible shape. The greens are acceptable, but any bunkers should be avoided since most of them are small ponds most of the time that I have played here, or at least swampy from rain several days before. Overall, I only played at Montclair this week since I wanted to give it one more chance to redeem itself, but it certainly missed that opportunity. Until I see some major improvements in this course, I will not be returning.

Bad weather

Course was so wet it really was unplayable first thing in the morning. We got a raincheck.

Garbage!

Okay this is the worst course I’ve played EVER! I play 3-4x a week and I can 100% tell you to stay away. No care is given to maintaining the course or even making any improvements. Sandy tee boxes, bumpy greens, destroyed bunkers, grass less fairways. SAVE YOUR MONEY. To think, they call this a “country club.”

Nice course - winter conditions

Course needs a lot of work from winter , public invited is needed or course will fall apart ..

Get staff out on the course to clean up trees , leaves etc. Ball washes need water / cleaner and repair.

This could be a fantastic course but obviously can not be maintained buy just private membership.

Lots of potential

The course was not in great condition condition, but it is winter so it is not the maintenance crew’s fault. The layout was very challenging in a good way, and the staff was very friendly. The worst part was the pace of play. I’m usually pretty understanding with slower play, but there were holes that had multiple groups waiting to tee if on the same hole. Wouldn’t mind playing the course again when it isn’t so crowded.

Great Course

Enjoyed ourselves on this fantastically laid out course. Conditions of the course was very good. The greens were excellent. The Tees had been re-sodded and weren’t an issue . Will definitely be going back Thanks for a great Day!

Tee boxes were a mess- fairways so so and bunkers were like concrete.

Friendly staff and not crowded so pace of play not an issue.

Tight fairways, fine course if you are in a pinch to find somewhere.
