Rancho Del Sol Golf Club

It was a satisfactory round at Rancho Del Sol. Nice layout and fun holes. Fairways are ok condition and greens are in good condition. Some construction going on, but doesn't bother much. Enjoyed playing and definitely will come back.

I love the course not because its close to my house but the staff friendliness is awesome. Good customer service, good rate and the grass are not that bad although some parts needs watering to keep the grass alive. Over all the course is worth the $ you paid for. Interesting fact of my play here is that I made an Eagle on a par 5, 507 yards. My first Eagle shot and I hope it will not be the last.

Great to see the old Moreno Valley Ranch coming back to life. I never got to play it and was looking forward to experiencing it under this new name. Was in the area on a Saturday afternoon and wasn’t surprised they were busy. Still thought I should be able to get in at least 16 or 17 holes before dark when teeing off at 2pm. It will be really nice when they’re done with the refurbishing, but the greens are still great.

It was a great day, until on or around the 4th hole, when two groups that were 2 holes ahead (obviously beginners) decided to join forces and become a 6-some on the same hole. This stalled everything and it took forever to play holes 5-9. When I got to 10 they were just then starting to inch their way up the fairway. So I quit after 9 with maybe enough daylight to go another 2 holes at the pace they were playing, and didn’t get to see the back 9. $40 for 9 holes wasn’t what I had in mind.

The staff and starter and marshall were all very nice. I think they should be more aware of all the new people taking up the game due to Covid and watch out for things like this, especially on a Saturday. People new to the game don’t know that you don’t become a group of 6 on one hole, and don’t understand how their extremely slow play affects others.

Played this course about 20 years ago, back then it was 27 holes. Staff was Great, 4 1/2 hours to play on a Friday with a 11:30 tee time. Great day on the course. Greens are Fast!!

greens are in perfect shape - everytjing else is ok to good but the greens are incredible.for this time of year.

The starter was extremely rude. There was about 30 mins worth of sunlight and the starter just rolled up to us on the 16th hole and starts yelling at us to not tee off. He’s yells out “ don’t you dare hit that ball”! I tried to tell him that there was plenty of sunlight to at least play 2 more holes. He didn’t want to hear it and continued to yell. So we left. I have never been told to quit playing golf because the sun was about to set. I couldn’t believe it. The other bad part was that we didn’t even get to tee off on time because they didn’t have any golf carts. About a 25 min delay. I wasn’t even annoyed at that. It wasn’t till later when we got kicked off the course.

Great course!!! Challenging and fun!! Fast greens.

Has become one of my favorites and has to be one of the best in So Ca.

Hands down best maintained greens around. I was surprised how well maintained and great the greens were. They rolled pure and steady. Any real golfer knows that strokes are gained and lost on the greens. I ended up shooting an 80 from the blue tips but I can say that the greens didn't affect my round. Fairways are in decent shape. There is no bare ground on the fairways which is always good. The rest of the course is green and light brown but at least the light brown fairways are actually grass! Teeing off from the 1st tee looks like the course can be a bit dry but it's grassy, that's the most important part. Good layout. Front 9 is wayyy different from the back 9 which is always good. Challenging layout with long par 4's along with short par 4's. It evens out. Great course overall. I would definetley come back.

Had a fun challenging round matched up with three other players and we all seemed to have a fun round will look forward to playing Rancho Del sol again....

As stated a million times, the course is recently open again. It isn’t in $75 condition, but, I really hope they’re investing the profits into making it great. The Pete Dye design on the front is remarkable. The back is carried by more views, fun shot shapes, and a forgiving landscape. Pace of play was great. Marshall’s and starter do a great job. Tee boxes are flat but thin. Fairways and waste areas are also thin. Greens are in decent shape. Lastly, bunkers have actual sand. They look like they’re raked daily, which is better than most courses now a days. To sum it up- the course has potential to be great. Ownership group has to make the right decisions to grow the quality. I’d pay top tier money in the future to play if the quality continues to go up.

Back 9 is definitely nicer than the front. Greens are spongy but roll pretty good..worth checking out!

Nice course set up staff is great only complaint is food selection and prices

Very well designed course. Really liked the layout. Had a lot of variety in terms of hazards and elevation change. Greens were immaculate. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I heard it was closed for four years, and there is a lot construction around the course (and clubhouse appears to be temporary). Fairways are not in the best shape, but not terrible either. Clearly there is a history behind the course. But it has a ton of potential, and I hope they continue with the improvements. I will definitely play there again soon.
