Santa Rosa
Checked in at pro shop and we were not told it was a shotgun start nor were we told that we were to start at the second tee. Locals passing by us told us to go back to see where we were to start. The pace of play was very slow. The course was in very nice condition.
Well maintained . Easy to play
Great course with nice wide fairways . Well maintained greens trebles and fairway. Only add would be GPS on board. No food or beverage carts. Probably due to most golfers live in community. We had shot gun start which squeezed more golfers in but pace was ok
Great course Santa Rosa
Greens were lush, putting was tough and amenities great. Worth playing this course and it’s one of my favourites.

Course conditions were excellent and pace of play (4hr 10mins) was also great. Would definitely play again
Sunday Golf
Got our ahead of our tee time; course was/is in fabulous shape; as always - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Definitely a must!
Who knew!
When you're out in the desert...you can never go wrong with the two courses at Desert Willow, the Classic Club, and a few others. You can add Mountain Vista to the list. I played the Santa Rosa course a few weeks after they completed their overseeding. The course was in really good shape...both fairways and greens. The greens ran true...moderate but probably not as quick as they will once they get the height of cut where they want it for the rest of the season. I didn't know or pay attention but this course lies in an senior active community and most if not all the golfers this day were probably residents with a few guests. They are friendly and like to golf but they don't waste time. We played in 3 1/2 hours never feeling rushed. Overall great experience.
Didn’t Finish
When we booked the t time wasn’t aware that it was a 1:00 o’clock shot gun start. We had reservations that we would finish on a regular t time and was pretty sure wouldn’t on a shotgun start with 2 groups on most tee boxes. As we prepaid there was not getting out of the round without forfeiting our money. We had to quit with 3 holes left due to darkness
The course was in good shape, and the greens were a good speed
Sheathing round slow pace
Didn’t know the tee time booked was a shotgun start until we got to the course. As we already prepaid and there was no cancelling we hoped we would finish. We started on hole 9 and the first 8 or 9 holes went good. After that things bogged down and we were waiting 5 to 10 minutes at each hole. Needless to say wasn’t able to finish only got 15 holes in before it was dark which was disappointing. With that many golfers out without a Marshall to keep pace going was either an oversight or a mistake. Course was in good shape.
Mountain View Fabulous
Golfed Santa Rosa at Mountain View; course is very beautiful and in excellent shape. Our only disappointment was we started with a shotgun start at 1pm and due to homeowners “taking their time”, we were only able to finish 17 of 18 holes before complete darkness. Would definitely recommend this course.
Santa Rosa Course
Great course great day, Exactly why we come to the Coachella Valley to golf, nice pace and conditions were good for this time of the year! The restaurant is terrific so make sure you plan a lunch stop here to complete your day.

arrived and no one to help with golf clubs. had to find an available cart and load our clubs. No direction to the first hole and no starter outside to help.
Also not happy with golf now because did not know it was cart path only untill we arrived. Should have been posted online when we booked through GN.
A DELL DEAD DAY….STAY AWAY
CONDITIONS IDEAL…..UNFORTUNATELY THAT WAS THE ONLY IDEAL PART OF THIS ROUND THAT WAS!!
Be prepared to do it all yourself from dropping your own clubs, to finding your own cart, to finding your own score card, getting you own ice, finding your own cups without straws or lids, you name it its a do it yourself dive with the costs of a PGA WEST course without the service or staff.
The place was a joke!!!
OH …..and one thing no one at all mentions its cart path only!!!
Ideal for those 70 and 80 year old players not handicappers! So plan to walk more than ride and wait all day as nothing says enjoyment more so than watching 70 and 80 year olds playing cart path only golf!!!
IF YOU WANT AN ENJOYABLE DAY OF GOLF…….PLAY SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS DUMP.
