Mountain Vista Golf Club - Santa Rosa Course

As soon as we let the pro shop know that we had made reservations for a replay, they started up with excuses about not being able to play the second round at their other golf course due to cart issues. At the moment we did not make a big deal about the situation as we wanted to have a good day and play well at their first course. As we finished our first round, they picked up our carts at our car and again the excuses started about a replay. We ended up finding out by asking the real reason they were having issues that this has been going on since December! We went to their other golf course and spoke with the so called gentleman at the front desk. They all looked at us as if we were privileged to have played their golf course. They seemed unbothered and stoic to our request of being able to play their golf course because that is the reason why we drove an hour and a half out to their facility to play two rounds for $99. They harped on us that we had a good deal compared to the rack rate as we looked at them and laughed as they were trying to feed us a white herring. Of course they talked about the fine writing of “availability” On the Underpar reservation. We play in the Palm Springs area, a handful of times a year for these replays and have never ever had a situation like this especially with the pompous attitude that they had at the pro shop. They seemed numb about the situation and couldn’t care less of us as patrons. There is no indication on their website that there is a great chance that we will not be able to replay on their other track. The course was nice but not for $99. We paid to play two rounds and we only got in one round and they did not offer us any kind of free vouchers for another round, considering we were not able to play the second round because of their lack of responsibility and taking care of their carts by making certain that either they had enough or they were able to charge them. I highly recommend that you Seek another course that is going to honor the replay round and treat you with respect. These people did not give a care!

I played with my wife and 2 other singles. There is a forward tee (whites) that was perfect for my wife who doesn't hit a long ball. The back 2 tees worked for the rest of us. Conditions were excellent, and the greens were very fair. Loved it!

Played with my son and my 15 year old grandson, both who outdrive me by a mile.

The course is in great condition and the pace is good in the afternno when most members ned their rounds.

I select the tees to play from based on looking at the yardage on the par 3"s. The #3 hole shows 89 yards on the card but the actual yardage was 122 on my GPS. The other holes were close enough but this was way off. I was disappointed on the back nine when the course marshal drove up to our group and dis-respecting me by initiating loud conversation with our playing partners just before I hit off the tee. Beware club cleaning was done before we putted out and a tip is expected. These are 3 areas for improvement.

I drove 30 minutes to play your course and it was CLOSED!!! Now I have a bill over $130.00 I have to get refunded. How do I do that?

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The course was in great condition. The pace of play was VERY slow with older players having some difficulty given it was cart path only. This allowed us to only finish 15 holes due to darkness. A bit frustrating however we would still recommend this course.
