Golfer Reviews
relaxing course! Easy enough to make most look good!
Try it; you'll like it! After playing 6 rounds over 6 consecutive days, it was good to play an easier course!
Still one of the best
Always in nice shape with luscious green fairways and rough. Wish they had a beverage cart or convenient way to pick up food or drink. Nevertheless, always a pleasure to play. Deals are available in the local paper and golf magazines.
Play Here !
Played for $79 with GN rate. Course is in amazing condition. Great layout. Fairways were wide, but you can still easily find trouble off the tee. Im a 13 handicap and will definitely target this course when im back here in March. Only complaint, no snack shack to grab a sandwich or beverage cart on the course. Lots of old folks at this place, that must pack a lunch for the day. ha!
Not enjoyable.
Having never been at this course before it was difficult just to find the course. This course is in a secure community so be prepared to spend a few minutes getting through security. The course itself is not marked with signage...the first building that looks like it may be a clubhouse simply says, "recreation center". So after driving on, then asking directions from 2 separate people, which were wrong, we went back to the recreation center which turned out did have the golf shop attached to it.
The golf course itself is rather mundane. It's a simple layout with most holes being straight, and having elevated greens.
Be prepared for a 5+ hour round as the course caters to more of a senior crowd. This normally would not be a concern but for my round the group in front of us was painfully slow to the point of causing a 3 group backup on the tee. When we spoke to the Marshall about it he told us that there was no problem and we should expect a slow round. Later, the Marshall came to us in a panic, told us that the slow group in front were going to leave the course and told us that WE were going to have to go faster because the groups behind were livid at the slow pace.
Overall, didn't enjoy the experience or the course.
Great course
1st time playing this course and was well worth it. I have played a few other Sun City courses and they all have been real nice courses. Santa Rosa course was in great shape and it was a great layout. Will definitely play again next trip to Palm Springs
A pleasant surprise
It was our first time here and we weren't sure what to expect. Google maps gave us the impression that most holes were closely lined with houses which turned out not to be the case. The rates were very reasonable for a course in good condition with some interesting holes. Rate of play was good. We will play it again and we'll also try their other course this year.
quick bake oven
We played prior to closing for overseed. Hard and fast , good for short hitters . Pretty good pace of play, but visually weak because of lack of water.
You want to have fun this is a golf course for you
The staff was awesome , however the pace of play was very slow, we had a foursome in front of us ,probably beginners, their course etiquette and management was very poor .
Otherwise had a good time
Pretty Ponds
Water on the course was eye catching, but not a big threat. The waterfall was a nice touch on the back nine. Mountain views enhanced the experience. Houses did not seem to infringe on play.
A Good Choice
Good choice for high handicapper. Wide fairways. Surprising greens. Reasonable pace.
quality course for a fair price
played on a Sunday so it was a little slow .4 1/2 hrs for a foursome . we played three times on the week and this was in the best shape . great vistas from some of the hoes . greens were in good shape and challenging. We will play this one again
bad customer service
Course was great. Staff was the worst. On that alone I wouldn't come back even the rates were cheap or free. We go to pay of our tee time and the lady throws the golf cart keys at us. Not friendly at all very rude with attitude. I won't play there ever again based on the staff friendliness
Another great place to play in the area
Great course and community. I've always seen this course listed with booking on GolfNow but I didn't know much about the course and had never heard of anyone playing there. My wife and I decided to give it a shot and we were pleasantly surprised. The course was a little dry as it is going to be re-seeded next week but other than that it was great. Awesome greens that run fast and true. Maybe a little too fast for the average player but they provide a good test. The course is a little straight forward yet still challenging. I will definitely play here again.
