Mesquite Golf & Country Club

Fun course, just went after the recent flooding, so the course was understandably not in the best shape, but the staff did a great job making it playable and fun.

I was told by the staff the course only had a few minor changes due to the impact of the storm.It was horrible par 4"s were turned into 85 yard par threes tee blocks were in the middle of fairways.They should be ashamed to charge 59.00 I will never play there again

Unfortunately Mesquite has suffered greatly from the feb 14 2019 rains. They have done alot of work to fix it since then. Use it as a warm-up or knock around course right now, dont pay full price and you will enjoy it for what it is.

We understand that 3 weeks ago the course was washed out by rain our compliant was green fees should have been at a reduced rate as there was temporary tee boxes and greens. Have plaid this course in the past and was good but under today’s circumstances they should have offered a discount rate due to water damage.

Was not told how bad the course condition was after calling and inquiring about it. Very poor conditions.

It is truly not fair to rate this course right now. It has been closed for a week and under major repair after significant flooding on February 14 and 15. Many holes are shortened or rerouted. I am sure that it will be much better after the repairs are completed and the course is back to its normal length and routing.

We should have advised about the extent of flood damage the course had sustained. At least half of the holes were unplayable in their original layout. Even absent the flood damage the course condition was poor.

Even for the cost, it was not an enjoyable place to play golf. Upkeep on the greens and fairways needs improvement.

Fairways ok. Rough a little rough. Bare spots off of fairway in places. Greens decent but a little rough in places.

Nice course not bad condition would have liked to play it in its heyday

Nice location. Nice people. Poor greenskeeping. Back nine more interesting than front.

Course is in good shape. The front nine greens are not as good as the back nine greens. Challenging even though some of the hole layouts look so easy. Not so. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Pace of play very good.

Not much there for amenities such as food or drinks.

Course was a but rough but with the recent rains that is probably why. What was disappointing was that the Golf Now rate was the same as the rate posted at the course, and the snavk bar was non existent. No selection whatsoever. service carts.

Two big complaints aboutMesquite Country club. The staff may be the most unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen in my entire life noddle not only would they not let me walk the golf course even though I was willing to pay for the golf cart they had the nerve to say that it was due that to the fact that it would slow up play which was laughable on an incredibly slow course.There was a couple questions as to whether or not a hole is a par for a par five due to the confusing scorecard I went in for clarification to the front desk and the gal behind the desk looked me straight in the eye and said I don’t know.If it wasn’t for the starter I would say the entire golf operation is a complete joke at least The starter knew what he was talking about if it wasn’t for him I would say the entire course was a waste of time. The course itself is OK for the price there’s no frills it’s very rough around the edges and the fairways are fine the greens may be the slowest greens I’ve ever played in my entire life

If you are looking for a solid game of golf, this place is good. The course is tight, the conditions (this year) are good and the price is right.

Bring everything you might want to consume...there is little to nothing offered by the course. Four hours can be along time without a little snack...and they do not have a liquor license so there is no beer (which is fine for some).

Overall, I like this course...it is challenging and worth the price.

This is the first time I have played Mesquite and it was basically because it didn't have good reviews. Well for $59 it was worth a try considering some of the tee time prices here in Palm Springs. The first few holes were quirky and were difficult to determine where to hit, especially for a first time player. Fairways were in great condition, but some of the greens on the front nine were a little beat up. However, the back nine were in really good condition as were the fairways and the course configuration was also nicer on the back nine. Despite waiting on every hole for a very slow twosome in front of us, we finished in about 4 hours and 15 minutes. This can be a great course with some TLC and I do hope that money is poured into making it better. There was drinking water on specific holes, but no cart person on the course, no sign of course marshals to speed up play. It is definitely worth playing for $59 and I would recommend it at that price point.

Played this course for first time great value on golf now hot deal.pace was very good.I liked the course character.layout was good fairways wide and accommodating
