Beautiful day.Love the ground squirrels...Course a little bumpy...could use more grooming. But still good value.

Had a 12 o’clock tee time and we teed off on time. Finished at 3:45. The course / greens had some debris on them- we decided to play winter rules and that solved the problem. The range was quite busy but we still found a place to warm up. A nice sunny day with little to no wind- so very enjoyable. Greens were probably running around 9-91/2.and were spotty in places but overall very playable. Tee boxes were the weakest groomed part of the course

$27 per person very good value the greens were in much better condition today and rolling very nice making a much more enjoyable! I like the fact you can hit driver all day on 6 par five holes and really let it rip. I would definitely recommend this for at a value price.

You get what you pay for no restaurant no bar rough course around the edges but good fun! The course has good bones should be a local favorite-

Right from the clubhouse to the starter who was a great guy very friendly !! and got us on a bit early as we were flying out later that night, we played very fast no waits at all thanks again we really enjoyed our day!!

First few greens were dry and fast. Otherwise had a great time!

Have visited Palm Springs for the last 6 years and avoided this course because of bad reviews. With good courses over $80 decided to try this at $40. Was pleasantly surprised. Very quiet location, friendly starter, not at all busy. Greens are not that good and very variable - no. 1 green is the worst, so things do improve !. Teee boxes and fairways quite good. Bunkers a bit thin on sand but I've seen worse. Good layout. Power carts do not have gps but are clean and run well.

The first few holes were in poor shape in my opinion

Some of the fairways are narrow. Greens small. Some greens in bad shape. If you get the round for a good deal the coarse is worth paying. Not worth full price. Carts were in good shape.

Nice lay out! Short par 5’s and longer par 3’s!

Fairways very lush, the greens are small and quite flat. They are slow!

Fun to play for a mid handicap player. Enough room to let it fly and see what happens!

Got a great deal, weather was awesome, staff was friendly and helpful! Played 18 in about 3 hours!

After reading the recent negative reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to see staff working on the greens and the bunkers.The course overall was very good. This is not a PGA course and we're not paying PGA prices. Kudos to the staff for being professional and curteous.

Drop off was quick and efficient and so was the check in at the Pro-Shop.

Fairways Very good to excellent

Bunkers Good to very Good, some Excellent.

Greens Some bad Some average most good.

Great value with Golf Now. Will come back.

GREENs were a terrible mess super disappointed no one in the club house said a word before hand . Very sneaky

I used to enjoy Mesquite's layout when it was in decent shape. A couple of years ago, it deteriorated badly, and I haven't played since until today. The greens were awful after reseeding, but I can't seem them improving much with all the bare spots and inconsistencies. Someday I hope this course gets back in playable shape, because it can be fun.

This is a tough review to write.

Although this course is a bit rough around the edges (very rough in a few areas!), any course must be considered in terms of overall value and suitability for various levels of golfer.

If you are a low handicap who likes to play top level courses........this is not the course for you!! But then again, the green fees should have already told you that. It you are paying $20 to $30 you are a fool if you are expecting a top level course!!

If you are a mid to high handicapper, or new to the game, it’s likely a good fit for you! Yes, it has been badly neglected and needs money and attention to bring it back to a reasonable standard, I feel the green fees reflect what you are paying for!

Washrooms: Very Clean

Staff: Friendly!

Fine Details/Landscaping: Poor

So in summary, if you are a high handicapper or new to the game, this is a great VALUE course for you! You won’t be rushed or nervous. You can use every club in the bag. And you will likely have fun playing without feeing like you aren’t good enough or are holding everyone up!!

If you are a low handicapper, or just plain “fussy”, stay away!!! There are lots of nicer courses in the valley that will gladly welcome you for twice the money (or more!).

Apparently, the course is having financial problems. I could tell when I drove into the parking lot for a noon tee time and there were only a few cars. You can sense financial problems when the pro shop has limited items and no log balls. No new orders for merchandise.

The course was in terrible shape. Greens were as bad as I have played in years. Due to the condition of the course, they should be charging $20-25.00 to play.

I hate to call anything horrible, but here in Palm Springs we are used to the best even from our public courses and Mesquite is a major disappointment. The greens were un-puttable with bare patches. The tee boxes were un-cut and in some cases dug up.

It appeared as if a tornado or wind storm had come through the night before because there were palm fronds everywhere and bare ground around most tee boxes and greens. It was pathetic. I played with some people from Canada and was embarrased. Sorry, but this place needs help.
