Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

6:50 teetime was hold off to 8:00am. Course was in great shape, green was rolls true... friendly staff
Challenging par 70 with good mix of long and short holes.
This is a good test at par 70, good mix of short birdie holes and long, challenging par 4's. Good condition, not too busy, good pace of play and they allow walking! Greens were good but a little on the slow side, not sure why as they looked healthy, just not cut as short as most courses. A good value at less than $70.
Very Good Conditions, Great Value
Course in very nice condition - pleanty of grass and greens roll well. Configuration is a bit odd - several short par 3's, and several very long par 4's. Mature trees line most holes, houses do not crowd the course, and mountain views frame many holes. Sand in play often, water on several holes, some elevated greens make run-ups difficult, and deceiving breaks make putting a challenge. Pace was very good for a Saturday afternoon, cost to play via GolfNow made this place a great value.
Course was in great shape.
Everyone was very friendly and made us feel right at home. It was our first time playing the course and we were very happy we were able to play. We had a great time.
Great views of mountains and water
Played a foursome we all really enjoyed the layout the views where great par fours long to make it challenging .Water does come into play for sure .Have played thirty courses here and this ranks very high as any to enjoy the game
Not bad
This was a fun course. It's hard to write a really good review on this course however after playing other high end courses. Lots of trees and fun doglegs causing you to shape shots. That was definitely a nice change of pace for me.
OLD STYLE 1950'S LAYOUT. LOTS OF HISTORY, NICE COURSE, GREENS ARE SMALL TIGHT FAIRWAYS. Fun to play.

a very enjoyable course
very well maintained, very enjoyable course and picturesque surroundings
This is fun course.
We like to play here on every trip to Palm Springs. It is always in good condition and it is a reasonable test.
Great day in a very beautiful place
Course in good shape had a little back up on front nine Marshall addressed very fast and pace resumed.
Overall a great course and fair for all levels of golfers. Will play again when back in Palm Springs. The golf and a lunch was a great surprise .
Most enjoyable golfing
Course is great, staff very friendly. We had a most enjoyable afternoon of golf with an excellent pace of play.
Decent Value
Only real negative was that we had an early tee time and there were NO RANGE BALLS to hit before we teed off.
Happy, Happy, Happy
Super friendly, they kept the pace well and just finished 18 on time before light was gone.
Don't let 6,100 yards fool you
Played this course last year and was not impressed. It was too early in the season. But this year it was great. Only course that's not cart path only right now. Everything is well grown in and manicured. Greens just a tad slow but grown in and they said they are starting to shave them down. Some may think the course is funky with 70 and 90 yard par 3's, 4 par 4's over 450 and 2 short par 5's totaling 6,100 par 70 but I think it very challenging when you have to lay up on some par 4's but you can blast it on par 5's for a birdy.
All in all a great course. Very friendly staff and enjoyable. You've got to put it on your list.
Nice - stress free course in good shape
I have played it before and will play it again. Not real challenging so my wife likes the course.
Slow for Desert
Wanted to play Rancho Mirage CC for the name. Liked the fact I was able to walk the course and found the staff very friendly. In fact they were too accommodating. One foursome arrived late for their tee time and the staff squeezed them on anyway slowing the course for the rest of us. Then the two groups in front of us were painfully slow and the staff were ineffective in speeding them up. How can you possibly come off a Par 4 and catch up to a four some on the tee of a par 5 when the par 5 fairway and green are totally open?! Sometimes the marshal just has to say pick it up and move on so everyone else can finish in daylight!
Course itself was OK with some scenic spots, although nowhere near the condition of other courses in the area. I would play other courses (for even a bit more money) before returning here.
Enjoyable course for even a begining player
Beautiful fairway views of the mountains. A nice balance of challenging holes and makeable par 3s. This course is well maintained in a nice, well established community and was a lot of fun to play.
The course is beautiful and in great shape
I enjoyed the variety of holes and the beauty of the course. The staff was very friendly and they have a nice range that included balls
poor design
6,100 yrds-2 par 5's 471yrds & 485yrds-5 par 4's over 400yrds-1-469yrds & 1- 471yrds other par 4's at 315 & 313 also par 3s at 101yrds & 123yrds-what's wrong with this picture?
