Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

good conditions, great value
Staff was friendly, course was in good condition. Layout is not super imaginative, but the pace of play was excellent and the greens rolled true. For mid to high handicappers a good choice.
Top Notch Course
Excellent all around course. Not too hard but has its challenges. Good mix of long and short holes. Absolutely beautiful course, well maintained, lush and green with amazing views.
Good C/C course
Short course with some unique features and average challenge.
Course is adeuately maintained. Very good value for cost.
Good outing..enjoyable
Course is always in good condition and very playable. Greens were a little slow and did not take the break that appeared it should. But still very fair. Never had a bad experience on this course. Always well maintained.
Good value. Plays longer than numbers indicate
We enjoyed the course. A little challenging for shorter hitters. The facilities were great. Views of holes were fabulous. We will play it again.
Good course when it's windy or very hot.
This time of year, it's either very warm or very windy. Either way, Rancho Mirage CC is a solid course to play if you want a round that isn't complicated by weather conditions. The course has some interesting holes: good golfers will find that they can score well IF they know how to shape shots. The fairways are tree-lined, plenty of shelter from wind or sun. For $39, this is a bargain round during high season.
User Friendly
Golfnow is so awesome! It allows you to pay realistic rates on courses that overcharge. This was the case at Rancho Mirage. If I had paid retail I would have been very disappointed. The course was in pretty good condition but the fairways hadn't been mowed. Overall, I would recommend the course because it is wide open and very short. A big plus is there aren't many cart paths so you can drive right to your ball. The golf staff was extremely nice and almost all employees I came in contact with said hello.
This course is well maintained and is very beautiful.
The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. I was grouped with 3 other gentlemen., the playing speed was fast and smooth. We didn't have to wait for front group except on couple of par 3's for them to get off the greens. Also the group in the back was not on our tail at all. I appreciate how the management not crowd in the tee-times, it was a very enjoyable playing speed.
I feel the putting green is most challenge part of this course and is kept in excellent condition so as the fairway - over all, great experience for my first time playing this course and sure will visit again and give my recommendation too.
great course
We are beginner golfers, therefore, some of the par 4's were very challenging. We had a great time, the staff was friendly, the course was in great shape. We would try this course again
great tradtional couse
A real fun course to play. not real long but challenging. great setting with views of the mountains. houses nearby on some holes but not intrusive. definitey should be on your list to play.
Would play again
Good challenge only fault is the greens are a bit hard and need to play for the extra role. Nice views, and interesting layout.
we are novice golfers. Course and staff were great. Need to bone up on my over the water shots.
Thanks .. all is good. Appreciate the Golf Now deal. (internet)
Best Buy!
This course is beautiful with great views from nearly every hole. The course is immaculate and well maintained. The design is challenging for all but not overwhelming. I highly recommend!
Course OK but a bit congested
The course was in OK shape but I think they had the tee times a little too close together. It seemed pretty crowded out there and we did a bit of waiting
Challenging And very attractive to the eye
Everything about this course was excellent including the staff, I would play here again for sure.
From the blues it makes some holes challenging!
Great course to play, very quite and good course layout!
Like the layout. Perhaps short for the long hitters but good distance 10-20 handicappers.
Mrshall and beverage cart sevice was good. Although marshall could have made some decesions to speed up the play.
Intimate course providing good value.
Behind a security gate lies this course which is struggling to remain profitable by offering a well-maintained course which plays in under 4 hours because rangers are effective. The course winds through a housing development which does not become the only sight in town. There are numerous sand traps - the back nine traps are not in as good condition as the front nine traps. Greens are true and are not overly fast. This was an enjoyable round for less than $100 with lunch included.
loved it
Its a good course. not too challenging not too hard. I Liked it a lot.
parkland course needs attention
at a twilight rate of $40 it was a fair deal, but not worth much more. Fairways are rough, greens are slow.
