Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

Great value for the money.
Wonderful course, not crowded, easy to get to, great driving range. Grill could use more options, but no complaints. Would definitely play it again.
Last time we will play your course
The pace of play was terrible, we are experienced golfers and always play your course every year a few times. It is always slow but the worse this time. After 5 hours left after hole 15 there was 3 groups waiting on this tee box. Course is scruffy unkept, debris from trees everywhere.
Great condition, beautiful setting, challenging.
The course is very nice, well looked after, challenging, the staff were quite friendly. I booked through Golfnow.com and had a 2:00 PM T-time for a foursome. The first 9 holes went nicely and we expected to be finished right at dusk. However, the Marshall leaves at 4:00 PM and whether it was a co-incidence or not, the pace slowed to a 3 party backup behind us as we waited far to long for the group ahead who were also waiting for the group ahead of them. We ended up having to quit on the 14th hole. I mentioned this to the Pro-shop and got a meagre appology.
Got feeling they are just cramming people through for the bucks. 4 groups on some holes. Riduculous.
I was not impressed with pace of play which since I had asked for earlier time, and they told me "no", then found out they put 2 groups in front of us last miunute, like what the heck? Not impressed with the desk hack, not a professional.
fairways have spots with little or no grass
Play was quite slow for the first 9 holes. I liked the layout- not too difficult for our wives.
Fun course to play.
Started play at 7:00 am so we moved along very nicely. A full length course a bit on the short side. Nothing wrong with that. Played with a nice couple from Canada. The course is full of beautiful views of the mountains, snow capped at the moment. The course is well maintained. The greens were a bit slow but the night before was near frost so they may not have mowed them in the normal manner. Definitely would play again at the $55. price through Golfnow.
Nice course in beautiful setting.
Nice Course, beautiful setting, not to tough, I,d play there again, only downfall is the bunkers, hard as a rock with little sand.
Very nice condition and player friendly
I was surprised at how player friendly this course is. Not a very long course, but a lot of long par fours. If you are not long off the tee you,ll be hitting driver 3 or 5 metal all day. Greens rolled true and a pleasure to putt on...Overall great deal.
Very enjoyable round, quick play, and challenging with all the water.
Course is well maintained, fairways were full, and the greens smooth but on the slower side. Bunkers were consistant. Very enjoyable round.
no marshalling
Walked off at hole 5 when we came upon 3 groups on a par 4. We were waiting for a group to tee off that were waiting for a group to hit their appoach that were waiting for a group to putt out. We left since we were over an hour into the round and looking like over a 5 hour round.
This course was beautiful
We had an excellent time and the 4 of us really enjoyed the entire day.
Well maintained and fun to play.
For a low handicapper, may not be enough distance. But, still, fun and challenging. There also were several long holes to offset the overall 6,100 yard distance from the deep (blue) tees. Worth playing again.
SLOW PLAY. 2nd time we have played this course and it was ssllooowww.
Everything about the course other than the pace of play was was good to great. Fairways were average but greens were above average.
a great day on a great course
other than the greens being faster than i like it was a super nice course. it was a fairly long drive from where we were staying, but worth it.
Nice course with great views. Some par 4's are a little long.
Great day for weather and the course was in good shape. Some of the par 4's were a little long for me (440-440 yards), but overall, it is a very fun course.
Nice course, good value - traps need reworked
Nice old school course, with beautiful views. A great value at $39 for a 12:30pm tee time. The one problem is the sand traps are all as hard as concrete. For example, the ball would roll out of them (nice) and my wedge would bounce back when hitting in them (not nice). In summary, for that price it's tolerated but not for more.
Good golf course.
Nice course.
Not too long but tight.
Staff very friendly.
The greens were extremely slow. There are some very long par 4's
The greens are extremely slow. There are some very long par 4's from the blue tees
Generally speaking I enjoyed playing there. The course distance is deceiiving becaause ther are only 2 par 5's
We played the front nine in 1 1/2 hours but the back took a lot longer because of slow play.
Beautiful course.
This was an awesome course to play. The greens were slow due to the overseeding, but otherwise I loved everything about this course.
Great course at a great price!
Aside from the frost delay, which wasn't the fault of the club, the course was great! Good value for the money.
