Greens were shabby
Course was pretty empty so pace of play was fine, but the greens were terrible. Cheap and good place to get drunk and mess around but not a high quality course
MAINTENANCE A MUST.....
Since it was my second time playing there, I was expecting prior issues to be addressed, unfortunately, that was not the case; the fairways have bald spots in several places, and they were numerous....
Fun time UNTIL the ranger ruined it
Liked golfing here fun challenging. Some greens need work. Could not tell the difference between fringe and greens in some places.
I admit I made a mistake and parked incorrectly. The ranger came up to me with a very aggressive and unprofessional tone. I was respectful but that didn't seem to help. He then told us that we needed to speed up our pace because we were holding others up. I looked back at the tee box as we putted out and told him to look as well. There was no one there. Nobody had pressed us the whole day. He came back to us a second time and continued harassing us about speed. This guy was very out of line and unprofessional he distracted us from our game and almost makes me want to never come there again. I left a good rating because of the course overall. Also the proshop staff was friendly. I hate to leave a review like this but this guy was ridiculous.
Lots of water and sand
Fast track. At this time greens needed a lot of work. Would play again, especially at golfnow rates.
Sssssslow round
The course didn't seem very busy but it still was a 5 minute wait on every shot. There were 3 2somes in front of us and 2 more behind us. The ranger told us that the 2 behind us didn't like playing with other people so they sat in our view all day, watching our every shot....yea, quite annoying.
The course is in ok shape. The greens are slow and bumpy. After years of Golfers parking their carts practically ON THE COLLAR of the greens, there is no grass.
Not bad, but not Doral
The course is overall good, but now is "the season" and it's very busy. Many players don't observe the courtesy rules of golf, which makes playing frustrating, but the course itself is nice, the conditions good, the trees gorgeous, and the weather is almost always fantastic - that's why tourists come and residents stay!
this course has water everywhere
enjoyed the course. good thing I had gps that showed all hazards. Lot of hazards can not be seen from tee or fairway. Font 9 greens very poor condition.
Needs maintenance
The course was fairly easy with some water and trees.
Course was not well maintained as greens were spotted with weeds and dirt. Fairways were OK but not very green. Lots of players, very slow, even teeing off after noon.
course was in desent shape and greens were true
course was bare in few places but not to be concerned.was a little slow play due to some folks should play to the tee there game is suited for..why shoot 120 when you can move up a tee and have some fun and shoot 90..greens are in great shape this time of year,,
over paid
The front nine greens were really bad. the back was better but even these had many bad spots. the fairways are more weed than grass. Tee boxes are uneven and not in good shape.
The layout is pretty good but needs a lot of work. the ranger was friendly and the staff was nice. But I wouldn't return.
Could be a value course (one that isn't very well kept but cheap) but only worth about $23. in season.
Good for the money
Decent pace of play. Fairways in good condition, better than the greens. Worth the $22 hotdeal.
Worn out, poorly maintained
Many bare spots on fairways, overrun with weeds
Greens were atrocious.....weeds, bare spots.
Really only worth playing if just needed to get some swings in.....but way overpriced for the deplorable condition of this place!
???
First time playing Apollo beach, I found that most of the greens were in good shape, I wish I could say the same of the fairways, fairway grass if any was cut very low, alot of sandy bare spots, the place really needs alot of repair on their grounds and retaining walls. The area stank of stagnent water or sewers. The course was challanging with a lot of water hazards. Their website photos were very deceiving, may be touched up? I would not play it again not recommend it.
Needs time to heal
The front 9 greens are in bad shape, almost like they have never, ever been rolled. They appear to have had some disease that got away from them. The back greens are better but the fairways have many bare spots on many. The course has a great layout and should be treated better
Greens needed
Course was in tough shape in spots. Front nine greens were in terrible condition, back nine were great
Great potential
Course has had grass issue for years, still very little grass on most fairways. Greens were ok but very slow and bumpy.
THIS COURSE NEEDS A DOCTOR
this course was terrible. After reading recent incorrect reviews stating the much improved conditions I booked a time with my three friends.I am no longer trusted to make tee times. We paid 47 dollars to have a good laugh. The tee boxes didn't exist and some fairways looked like the sahara desert...BEWARE
nice layout course in fair/average condition
Good course to play a warm-up round (my first round in 4 months). Greens are fairly large and were in good condition; fairways had browned our area and tee boxes were in fair to poor condition.
Played with two members would were very nice and helped me navigate the course.
Nice layout
fairways very poor, front nine greens vey spotty, back nine good.
good layout.
overpriced at course, some bargains on line.
has to improve before we go back.
