Outstanding Morning of Challenging Golf !!
Water , Water every where !!! My son & I needed to sacrifice distance for "keeping it High and Dry" on several of the these beautifully landscaped holes ! Picture Perfect scenery , even the TECO smoke stacks were useful in helping with the wind direction. Highly recommend to all golfers with some experience, if a beginner , bring Plenty of extra Golf Balls or ones that Float !!
Over all , Tremendous morning of Golf !! Will be back again and again !!
5 Hour Round
I am not one to complain usually, but a 5 hour round of golf is not fun at all. It's my fault for playing in a retirement community in the middle of the day, but it was a good deal. I should have turned around when I saw 10 Canadian license plates in the parking lot.
Needs some attention
I have played this course quite a bit the last few years. The layout is great being that it is a Robert Trent Jones Sr designed course. Water on every hole is a nice challenge. The greens have improved and most are in good shape although quite flat. The main problem here is the course is not maintained well. Many brown spots in the fairways make it difficult at times. I have rarely seen fairways looking that bad. The full price is quite steep for what you actually get. There is also no beverage cart and the driving range is quite a distance from the club house.
Fairly long - Great Layout
It is a fair layout and challenging as well. Plenty of room to miss on your tee shots - but you cannot spray it too far.
Best value for money in Tampa
This is one of my favorite courses in Tampa Bay. I always find great deals here and the course is always been maintained properly. I have only been golfing for 2 years so this is a relatively easy course which is perfect for me. The fairways are wide amd there isn't too many hazards.
If you like water features then this course is for you!
This was to be a "grudge" match between two friends, but we were teamed with two locals who played this course many times. It turned out to be a fun day and a very good golf game for both of us. We were matched with the locals in play and in banter....what a great day. Thank you very much for the opportunity.
nice layout, poor fairways
If they could get the fairways in good shape, this would be 4-5 stars. Nice layout and difficult with water on just about every hole. Greens were very quick and in good shape with lots of slopes. Enjoyed the course but had to use "ground under repair" rules a few times from the fairway. Price is a little steep for conditions, not for layout.
A good RTJ layout
Unlike my last vist sevral months ago, the greens were in very good condition. A few spots here and there, but overall very good. They've not overseeded yet and the fairways were a bit challenged, but still good. Great layout. The fee is a little steep at $45, but it's that time of year!
Much Improved
This course is in much better shape than it was 3 years ago. Maintained well and grass is all green.
Challenging for mid to high handicappers
While some aspects of this course are challenging, in my opinion a scratch or a low handicap golfer will find this course rather simple. I enjoy the course for the pace, the challenges it affords my level of play, the convenience to home and the price!
Fairways in Rough Shape
Nice little challenge but fairways need attention. Greens are good.
