Apollo Beach Golf & Sea Club

Being that my golfing partner cut his teeth on this course back in the late 70's and now nearing retirement, here we are again. There is much needed work and I am hopeful there are plans in progress since this course has so much character.

If you have the opportunity play this course. 6300 from the whites so bring your driver!

Our group has played this course twice now. Ok for discounted price. Course is challenging but has several fairways with a lot of ground under repair. Greens in excellent shape.

They are doing some work to the course. Overall, not too bad a shape. The greens were great. Not very fast, but true. You can tell they are doing work to improve, but still very playable except for one hole.
The issue is the old men who drive their carts by the green and won't let you play through.
Also, I found myself filling their divots on par 3 tees and most fairways, fixing multiple pitch marks on the greens, etc.
Message to them - if you can't sand over the squirrel tails you gouge out of the course, bend down to fix your pitch marks on the rare instances where you actually hit the green, help maintain the course or walk from the cart path to the green, then think about another hobby.
Guess there is a trade off for a great deal.

I grew up on this course and it went through some rough spots, but yesterday was the best shape I have ever seen it in. Greens were all well taken care of and rolling very nicely. Besides the 7th hole, which they have been working on for years, everything was pretty nice. It's a cool layout, and if it stays in this shape I can't wait to play it again. I finally convinced my buddies to drive down and play a round here and they were impressed also. It's worth the drive!

Due to the extreme wet we had to make some course changes. However under normal conditions the course would be a nice challenge.

This course is in dire need of some TLC. the fairways on a few holes were roped off with repairs in process. one hole, I think it was 7, they had the whole fairway roped off and had to start from 100yard markers from the hole. The greens are the exception. almost every green was as smooth as velvet. a couple had a few bare spots but overall this course offers a great value!

Just needs some attention they are working very hard to make this course live up to its potential but it was so bad before they started the renovations it is gonna take time but the greens are awesome and still have to say this is my favorite layout in the are. I love the views of all of the wildlife on the ocean inlets throughoutt the course.....I love this course im hoping they get it up to standards!

Haven't played the course in a few years. What a surprise; it was in great shape. Look forward to playing again soon.

I played with a 78 year old man that swings his club like he's in his 40's . Lots of wildlife, giant greens that are perfectly maintained. Fairways a bit hard but a good rain will clear that up. One par five under repair right now, they have it playing as a par 3. Back 9 takes you over an inlet canal, saw mullet, bat rays, spoonbills, herons, and lots of other wildlife.

Apollo Beach Golf club is a very decent layout, greens are in good shape but the fairways need work. Management is working to improve the condition and if they get rain soon conditions will improve rapidly. Making a great attempt at improving conditions.

Highly recommend you give Apollo Beach a try! A beautiful couse with more bird willdlife than I have ever seen on one course... Great challenging layout with enough T-box's to make it fair for everyone... But the real reason to come back has to be the staff... Great people who treat you right and always make you feel welcome...

This course was a RTJ beauty. He is sneaky in his design, and requires you to think each shot. I believe this course needs more attention and could really shine if properly maintained. The fees charged were high based on the condition of the course.

Great bang for your buck. Great starter course for getting golf back after winter break.

The condition of this course has been steadily improving since I started playing it 3 years ago. It still has a way to go but it is definately going in the right direction.

The golfnow price was perfect. The course needs attention, fairways were sparce, the greens were bumpy and in need of attention. Overall a great day golfing and not working.

This was once a beautiful course to play. Fairways barely exist and the greens are poor now. The lay out is tremendous and maybe should be played once just to see what a wonderful course it could be with money put into it.

Have played this course quite a number of times over the past few years,and was disappointed in the overall conditions.Played for the first time this year and was very happy with the overall improvements to the greens,fairways and tee off areas.Would not hesitate to play again and recommend to others.

I had read good things about this course but was very disappointed with its condition. The layout is fine but the fairways need help. Most of the greens were OK. Fortunately, I got a heavily discounted rate at GolfNow as I would never have paid the full rate. I have played over 20 courses in the area and would rate this one in the lower quartile.

Course was great besides the fact only one of the five times I have played there the greens were rolled. Fairways were in good shape. All in all a good course, just too much money.
