About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Solid value
Only did 9 holes (10-18) and was nice to start on #10. Very enjoyable for us with nobody in front but I could tell the course was slammed on #1 when finishing on the green at #18. Greens roll true, no disappointment there. Greens probably score the highest (tee boxes, fairways, greens). Tee boxes were also good, flat/level, pretty well manicured; no issues there. Fairways were good, maybe need some love in some areas but all things considered this was a great value course. Some sneaky hazards, a good challenge overall.
Nothing But Wonderful
The staff … everyone we came in contact with .. they were very friendly… the course is in great shape … but… 9 th hole kick our butts..🤪

Excellent in every way
From check in to check out this is a great course. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Pro shop is a nice building with a great selection of reasonably priced products. The course is in great shape and the greens were fast and fair.
This is one of those courses where a little local knowledge will get you a long way. Wish I had a couple of shots back.
We will be back for sure.
Best Value
This is an amazing municipal course. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Checking was quick and easy and staff handled the bags to the drop/pick up area for us. The pro shop is roomy, clean and has a wide array of good merch at fair prices. The course was well laid out and in great condition. We missed a few opportunities by not knowing the course but we will be back to try to pick those up. The greens were in excellent shape, quick and fair.
I can't think of a single thing that to criticize.
Great Value!
From the reception to the departure this was a great experience! Very efficient system for getting people from the bag drop, to the cart, to the tee without sacrificing customer service. The course conditions were excellent and the greens were quick and fair. The clubhouse is clean, well presented and has so.e very nice merch at fair prices. This is an excellent municipal course with some upscale service, excellent value for the price.
Lots of chances to save strokes with well placed shots (when you know where to place them.)
We will definitely be back to fi d some of them.

More challenging than I remember. Green above average quickness. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape.
